.......you've probably all read about the master of the polish uppercut having problems with the possibility of being deported, ironically for applying for citizenship our the land of freedom.......the surprise to me is he is listed as a multimillionaire .....from investments.....apparently he has more sense out of the ring than he did in it. no reports of poland praying to hve him return home.

No surprise he is multimilionaire - he fought for a title a couple of times, he got more than 2 mln$ for Tyson and I guess his fights with Bowe (2x) and Grant were also OK from financial point of view. Oh, I almost forgot 300k$ which he got lately for Adamek.

It does not look much comparing to Holyfield's or Tyson purses, but he had no expensive habits to support. No mansions and tigers, 2 kids, no divorces (well, he had two divorces, but every time he remarried his wife - I guess this is strange even for US, but probably way less expensive than Holyfield tactics in this area), no drugs and so on... so with good investing and a bit of luck he doesn't need to think much about $$$.

I can't believe people still have difficulty spelling Andrew Gelato's name?

It has become almost a running joke at Boxrec, except only half the crowd is in on it.

Leave Andrew Galento alone!

Just a spelling reference GI. Seems to be a common practice with his name around here.

Doesn't surprise me - crazy guy but seemed to have a sane wife and, as others said above, no obscene habits to fund: marble mansions, bengal tigers, team of 50 personal staff, 10 children with 8 women etc. Just a big scary boxer who lived a quiet life outside the ring with his wife in Chicago.

If you box at world level in big fights for several years and you aren't the stereotypical heavyweight loon you should be able to retire pretty rich.

he didnt buy watches for $120,000 and than try and sell them for $10,000 when he had money problems. He didnt go to hoes and late night strip bars. He didnt buy $250,000 cars and than try and sell them for $30,000 when he needed money. He wasnt a serial molestor of ms black america contestants. His wife left him a long time before his boxing career was over but they reunited but they reunited i think when he came back into money. I might be wrong on the matrimonial bit

Check out at about 0:28 of this clip.
Did Andrew Galutu have some type of problem
that the boxing public wasn't aware of?
