Oh, please Jessi, Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!

This is a guy who seems to have raised his profile on the back of three succesive defeats. I thought he won the Helenius fight, but that guy is over-rated and has a padded record, he hasn't fought anyone of note. Chisora got well beaten by Fury whatever his excuses were and was essentially dominated by a declining 40 year old fighter well out of his prime. I will tell you this, if Chisora is seen or ranked as a top five contender then heavyweight boxing is clearly dead in the water, being kept alive on a life support machine by the Klitschko's.
Name me someone else who would beat him other then, k2 haye or povetkin then ? Yes he lost to fury, no excuses but where would your money go on a rematch ? We all know he beat helenius, and he still gave Vitali a pretty good run for his money no matter what you say.
I think Chagaev, Valuev, Chambers, Dimitrenko, Arreola and Adamek all beat Chisora, plus i think Price would give him serious trouble aswell. Despite you not wanting me to name Haye and Povetkin, they also have to be added to that list. I think a re-match with Fury would be close, but it doesn't automatically follow that because he lost the first fight, he will win the second. As i said, i don't rate Helnius and as far as the Vitali fight goes, he lost the fight by a large distance. Chisora is an average domestic fighter who has gained some profile of late, but he is not a world class fighter.
Tony Thompson would do him too.

Chisora proved himself to be a good fighter on Saturday night, not that anyone will remember. If he had greater self discipline then given his age I'd say he has a good future, he could fight a couple of quality European then maybe get in the mix for a British title v Price (which would be a cracking fight IMHO) and then, if he won, on to a European shot, and by the time he's done that he'd be hitting his prime and ready for a title shot. However he is less disciplined than a dog with schizophrenia and a temper problem. So I suspect the best he can do is Fight Haye and lose but make a load of money then hopefully leave the sport I love well alone.

On the videos the pictures of Haye trying to keep away from Chisora and Chisora's "do you want to fight me" before it kicked off convinces me that Haye wasn't responsible. He has acted like a dick since with his sodding off to Vagas now.

For Haye I think the best option for him would be to fight someone (ideally someone tall) possibly Helenius, then go for a fight with Vitali.

Quixall, I disagree totally, I don't think any of the names you mentioned would beat chisora, I think price in a year or so would be interesting that's our highly I rate price, but I would confidently put money on chisora to beat anyone in the world except the names I already mentioned. That's wait and see.

I think a re-match would be close, but as for the pre fight nuptuals between Fury and Chisora, it's fair to say that Dereck wasn't into the fight at all, which affected how he was in the press conferences and build up. If they have a re-match i think Dereck would be far more animated. I personally don't feel that he does get intimidated.

Yep I think the whole hw division is of awful quality right now. Love or hate chisora his a new name in the mix, and you say a fury rematch would be close, I don't think it would be.

I would agree with you there...........

The heavyweight division is just that in name, not in prestige anymore. It doesn't mean a great deal to people these days and its not so long since we had Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield and Tyson in the division. I don't think Fury has been at his best in his last two fights, but he can dig a bit and take a shot, Chisora can't punch, but he can take a shot, so IMO it should be close. Having said all that, i think that Price would give both serious problems.

You're spot on about Chisora.

He has become the new Frank Bruno (albeit an unpleasant version), in that he gets praised to the hilt for losing every time he steps up in class. :witzend:

Very true.....................

He isn't a wold class fighter. He is a domestic heavyweight still learning his trade. The fact that he got a title shot so soon in his career is a sign of how bad the heavyweight division is at the moment. It's amazing to hear people speak of him as a top five fighter when he has just been out-classed, out-fought, out-punched and out-worked by a declining 40 year old fighter. He hasn't got enough power to be a top heavyweight and doesn't have the skills to compensate for that lack of power. He is an average domestic fighter who could capture a European title in a few years time.

yeah chisora kept his mouth shut in the presses because when Fury had kicked off with him he crapped his pants and then decided to show a little more respect. His Entourage obviously didnt fancy their chances aganst a crew of gypsies.

The question is would you stand up to the bully and give him the wrath of Finn production or would you contribute to the country's woes by running away :OhYes:

I'm hopefully meeting the instructor (technically my instructors, instructors Dad) there at the time this Sunday so I intend on finding out more about the validity of this claim.

I'm suspicious.

Especially as Third Space was only open for a year and the level he's claiming to be proficient at then was incredibly, incredibly high.
Little confused, third space been open for years, and haye was a member and trained there for his first 10 or 12 fights, he joined in with some martial artists from time to time, his not claiming to be Bruce lee, so what's your point ?
"“Believe it or not, I come from a martial arts background, my father was a karate teacher, so I’ve got good legs. I’ve done judo, so I know what I’m doing. I train at a gym called the Third Space in Piccadilly which has a jiu-jitsu dojo and I get in there from time to time and have a roll around with the guys.

"They tell me I’m at a decent level, if I put some focus into it and put some time and effort into it… I’m a natural athlete, I can do anything that I want to do and I think that it would be definitely worth my while getting in to do it."

AFAIK Third Space hasn't had a BJJ instructor since 2002 when Mauricio left and handed the management over to Roger who was already based in Kensington setting up RGA.

If he did train between 2001 and 2002, and they said what they did, that's a pretty big claim if you know who was in the team at that time.

Also, technically as a Gracie Barra student myself through Roger, I am interested to see if this is true.

If he trained there for his first 10 to 12 fights (debut was in summer of 2002 if memory serves), the timelines don't match.
Finally got round to speaking to one of the people training at Third Space when David Haye was there and this happened.

Turns out the truth is very, very different to what he states. He was dragged onto the mat and he didn't do well. At all. And I'm being kind with that description.

^^ 'The truth'? You do know what you've posted can't be substantiated? (The same goes for David's assessment of his capabilities).

The fact remains there is no visual evidence, so nobody can be certain of 'the truth'. Who is this mystery person you spoke to? Can you be certain that they don't have an agenda/axe to grind?

A mate of mine who used to kickbox for team GB claims Audley Harrison got handed his arse when he came over to spar with them years back. Doesnt mean its true. What makes you think your jujitsu friends arent exagerating any more than haye, i dont know many fighters who would need to be dragged onto the matt, most would be well up for it.

I don't think Haye would say he's any expert, he probably just had a roll with a beginner/intermediate and did ok. No doubt if he went ul against anyone who'd been schooled well and doing it a where, he'd get wrecked and he knows that I'm sure, its a totally different sport.

I heard him mention that he was using James Zikic from London Shootfighters, to help him deal with the Greco stuff, stand up clinch etc.

That footage doesnt prove anything to me,all it shows is Chisora getting into Haye's face and then getting hit when you can tell he wasnt expecting it! It would of been more interesting if there was noone in between them, then we would of seen who was the better fighter! If Haye is so hard why did he have to resort to trying to bash a 50 yr old man with a tripod?! As for Haye being some skilled martial artist, thats bs aswell! To my knowledge he done a little bit of grappling with 'average' british mma fighters.
