i dont want to cause a row, but what exactly is so "sad" about this story? He was caught bang to rights with £268k worth of coke. drugs ruin lives, he deserves everything he gets surely? Dont get me wrong, LOVED him as a fighter, class act in the ring etc, but this crime is pretty much inexcusable. If it was say, scott harrison caught doing this people would be "lock him up and throw away the key".I know he fell on hard times with his divorce etc, but so do loads of people, doesnt make it ok to get involved in these kind of antics. As I said, I know people have fond memories of him as a fighter and he gave us some great nights, but if his intent was to distribute drugs then prison is the best place for him. Hes a grown man who has made his bed.

EXACTLY! Drugs kill, doesn't matter if he was invloved in pro boxing and people loved him for that, if the guy was a drugs peddler then he's a scumbag and deserves everything he gets.

I think people are saying that it is sad that his life has gone in this direction raher than condoning his involvement with drugs.

I have yet to know a coke dealer that "forces" people into buying it. People make their own mind up as to whether they want to take coke or not.

It is illegal, thus if you break the law it stands to rights that you will be punished for it, but I wouldn`t say that a coke dealer is responsible for "killing" people, surely it`s the choice of the individual whether he buys it or not.

I can`t recall the last time a "scumbag" drug dealer forced me into a corner and threatened me into buying coke.

From what I know Brodie hasn't been charged for the alledged offence because there was 2 people in the taxi. Brodie was the taxi driver, the parcel was found underneath the passengers seat BEHIND HIS FEET. Both have claimed they've never touched or seen the item.

I once found a box containing about 50 ecstasy tablets in the back of a cab in Manchester.

I buried them in my mums back garden, for reasons i cant quite remember.

Maybe letting them mature?

One summer i used my dads fishing bait (hemp seed, duh) to grow a quite substantial crop of Marijuana.

There was so much of it that my normally very liberal parents stepped in and burnt the lot before it came to the attention of the police.

A few years later i grew poppies. Alas i could not produce any opium.

In the past there's a few around here that are very experienced and wealthy traffickers that own taxi firms as it's a decent way to shift drugs around without a great deal of effort or suspicion and a taxi firm is pretty good to launder a bit of dough; the drivers tend to get more than the regular fare as well ;;-) but if they touch or look in the package or drop off and they've been under surveilance (the firm, not necessrily the driver) whatever money they've been paid is never enough and the driver has been mugged off/mugged himself off

no but they're good at doing little things like finding naive vulnerable youngsters at parties and offering up the first hit for free... go on...try it, its only a bit of fun...

scum of the earth

"but I wouldn`t say that a coke dealer is responsible for "killing" people"

two people were killed in my area recently in a drug feud, now, you get involved, your kind of asking for it...but drug dealers aren't particularly nice people
