Mundine is not a champ he lost to Kessler for the title recently though. Good fight for him though I think its very winnable.MightyWarrior wrote:err nonickd wrote: What about Pudwill or McIntyre do they count? ;)![]()
If I were managing Froch I'd try to get a Anthony Mundine fight come hell or high water. Gotta be one of the most fragile champs out there ( a Sven Ottke knockout victim no less! ).
There's more "world champions" at supermiddle than contenders these days, so might not be all that difficult.
Froch: ‘Calzaghe is nothing but a bully’

Just talking to an Aussie mate and he was telling me how universaly hated Mundine is down under.
Can't remember the name, but some much loved Aussie sporting icon died awhile back, and Tony was straight in the press saying "don't worry, you wont even remember this guy by the time I'm finished.."
Which went down well, as you can imagine.

Mundine is an arsehole but the guy has ability, i wouldn't put Froch in with him as i don't think Froch's workrate is high enough, Mundine would pick him off with jabs while Froch loaded up. I don't think Mundine's chin is as bad as people think, he got KO'd by Ottke but it was like his tenth fight or something and he took Echols best shots and Kessler's and lived to tell the tale. The Nishizawa knockdown was flash, i saw it, Nishizawa has since dropped Beyer and he is dangerous.
Yeah Mundine was tired when he got KOd by Ottke, I think he is a difficult fight for anyone at 168. After the Kessler fight there where rumours over here that he might move down to Middle as he is easily making 168.
Then yesterday on the news here they had footage of Green and his manager talking to Mundines manager here in Perth and there reporting there could be a fight early next year.

Magee would beat Froch quite comfortably. You have a point though, Froch should be aiming for him & not Calzaghe. But then, it would not buy him many headlines slagging Magee!
Its stupidity to start talking about Froch fighting Kessler/Mundaine/Green etc, you fools are getting no respect from me!
you are having a larf?ALI wrote:MightyWarrior wrote:Brian Magee would be a good start...

if magee couldnt beat an old reid he wont beat froch.
froch just dimantled barney who is a back foot fighter also, can see him doing the same to magee, whom ive never rated anyway.
