Post by Marlin »

Great show down in Melbourne. The big fella Sweet P and I discussed going down to catch this card and catch up with some of the blokes from BoxRec.

Just wondering if anyone else would be interested in this one?

Haven't been to the fights since about 1993 and there's a few pubs down at Flemington. Wouldn't mind going although my work means I could be anywhere in the country on 31/8

I work for an electical whosaler and I go around the country with a couple of workmates setting up new branches, relocating existing ones, renovating and merchandising. It has it's good and bad points. One bad point being that I never know more than a couple of weeks in advance what part of the country I'll be

And the last time I was at the fights my mate's sister was fighting at a kickboxing night. Standing there waiting for the bout to start when the crowd started with the comments about the girls. My mate was less than impressd hearing shit about his sister from clowns in the crowd :bag:

Sometimes I whinge and complain but then when I think about the previous 25+ years of being stuck in the same workplace all day...... eg today I worked a half day then we went and had lunch (paid for by my employer). Now sitting watching the footy for the rest of the afternpoon and I'll get a day in lieu for it :salut: On the down side I miss out on probably 20 weekends at home, each year. Having a Tuesday and Wednesday off is just not the same

Yeah Perth is a nice place to go to. If you come from Sydney or Melbourne the first thing you notice is how everything is spaced out and as a result it doesn't have that 'gotta be somewhere else in a hurry' mentality. It's odd to see virtually everyone obeying the speed limit :o

Hold ya horses fellas, Woo Woo Woo,

I'm sorry to advise, the show has been re-scheduled for a week later, it is now on September 7th.

Same great venue, Same great fights, flip side: it may just give some of you another week to save some extra cash and make a great/better weekend of it??

Hey Sweet Pea, bring ya clubs mate, there's some great courses in Melbourne, i'll get us on one of the best, I'll meet you there for a bash mate, now the date's changed.

Cheers
