Enzo juicing

Post by Camcas »

Enzo has failed a drug test which may be the reason he has vacated his titles. He is using the old dietary supplement excuse, wonder what the reaction will be like compared to Larry O? Not the same I bet.

Is it gonna now be whenever anyone fails a drug test, someone always says 'Oh I bet the reaction wont be the same as Larry O' and when the ban is handed out someone always says 'Oh thats so much more lenient than Larry O.'

If Enzo ends up having tested positive for a load of different banned substances over his entire career, then yes the reaction and ban will be the same.

Cheating is cheating and they have both done so, so their bans should be equal

I'm lead to believe its another case of some minor trace of something or other, from a dietary supplement available in health stores.

If he was needled-up with growth hormones, nandrolone, equipoise, EPO etc - then he'd deserve to be crucified.

But on the other hand if it's something minor and fully explainable then I don't think he deserves to be labelled a 'cheat' but simply a 'prat' who has ingested something from GNC that obviously had something on the prohibited list in its ingredients list, that might have be worded differently but is the same substance.

Went to a seminar today and its so easy to take a banned substance unless yr on the ball. But there is a differance in taking sudafed and not checking the ingrediants and getting a ban to injecting steroids .HGH and whatever else over a period of time.

Anybody who trys to compare the two and say the people deserve the same punishment are either deluded or biased

Must be hell this time of year for boxers who suffer from hayefever cos most hayefever nose sprays are steroids. And it aint clear which ones have it in and which ones dont cos they use lots of different name for it.

If you need to check any over the counter medicine for banned substances run it through these link below. It even tells you what you can take "out of competition" if you are random tested.

Extracts from the ephedra plants, such as the common weed in your garden have been used in Chinese medicine for hundreds of years.

After a bunch of kids in America died from ingesting 20+ times the daily limit to get an amphetamine-like high, the press jumped all over it and it got a short term ban. But still remained on sporting black lists to this day due to its energy-boosting thermogenic properties.

People get caught out still, because marketing and advertising execs renamed the ingredient with lots of fancy names, because of the above bad publicity.

Mao Huang, sinica, xenodrine, are all individual namesakes and each company gives it it's own name - hence it not being obvious to joe public what their ingesting.

Listening to Kerry Kays speak its apparent that the supplement market is totally unregulated. Even Kerrys own products which have been tested by independent organisations and been given a clean bill of health are not backed/recognised by UKAD. They refuse to give ANY supplement the green light for fear of what could be in them.

John Thaxton got a 9 month ban for eating chicken.
Here we go again - the Board need to find some consistancy.

Nandralone.
Found naturally in ckicken as my memory recalls.
I was being a bit facetious mate. I don't pretend to know anything about PED's etc.
However the Board need to be connsistant when dishing out (or ignoring) any sanctions against fighters.
Ignorance is no defence.

i dont think anyone will buy the "it was in a legal supplement I bought from a health shop" BS that used to work 12-15 years ago. Things have moved on.
