had to say how good it is to be a queenslander tonight.
last time nsw won origin -
face book wasnt in australia,
same for twitter(i beleive wasnt at all)
john howard was in power
dave taylor was in high school
noone had heard of justin bebar
kostya tzyu was a champion
not too many people knew who manny pacquiao was
my partners youngest kid wasnt born
my dogs didnt exist either.




happy to hear any other additions to this list

Another interesting fact is that in yesterdays herald there was no preview mentioned of Australia's forthcoming cricket game against England in the telegraph, you may think because there was 12 pages on the league but more likely because the poms are giving the Aussies another bashing at cricket. There was a piece on a Queensland state cricketter leaving one team for another so there was some cricket reported on, just news that didn't involve the Aussies getting thumpted again at cricket :DD

Apparantly Micheal Clarke phones him up all the time for 'a chat' and advice on things cricket related. Warnies certainly my favourite cricketter of all-time. Top bloke.

Your right maybe I should start a thread on the subject, it finished 4-0 and none of the games were close. For once I think the Aussies were glad it rains alot in England as it surely would have been 5-0 and England would have been the first team in cricket history to be number 1 in test,T20 and one day cricket, shame. The Aussies better be doing rain dances when they come to England next year for the ashes :lol:
