In Alex Ireland's ring record there is a fight with Young Joe Brooks listed in 1912 which should be removed. Ireland's professional debut was the fight with Pat McAllister in 1922. According to the British Boxing Yearbook, Ireland in his pro career between 1922 and 1929 had 47 contests of which he won 34, lost 10 and drew 3.
