Anderson Da Silva's Record Needs to Be Corrected

Post by RWyatt02 »

Greetings! I spoke with Ed Soares, the manager of Anderson Da Silva. Ed mentioned to me that Anderson actual boxing record is 1-0 as a professional and 6-0 as an amateur (and 19-2 in kickboxing). I brought up to Ed that boxrec.com has Anderson's record as 1-1 with a a 1998 loss to Osmar Teixeira. Ed emphatically insisted that this match did not take place with his fighter (Anderson Da Silva, dob 4/14/75). Now, I know there are a number of Anderson Silvas competing in Brazil so I thought I'd reach out to you regarding this since I know your site prides itself on accuracy. I have researched myself and have been unable to find any evidence for this. However, I've heard that Osmar Teixeira himself denies that it was MMA's Anderson Da Silva that he was defeated. Can you research and let me know what you find? It might not seem important but I'd like to know the truth.

The results were reported in the May 23 and 24 editions of Cornelio Procopio, as
well as Correio Esportes newspapers.
We have 3 competent BoxRec editors from Argentina, Brazil and USA confirming
this result in our tracking history since2003-06-03. Both Da Silva and Teixeira
reside in Curitiba, which is less than 2 hours drive from Uniao da Vitoria within the
same state of Parana, Brazil.

As you probably well know; a negative is very hard to prove without factual
evidence and the manager and boxer are the last source one should depend on in
reporting a loss. Soares has been trying to spin this on the internet yet has never
even contacted BoxRec… If he was worth his salt as a manager; he would have
straightened this out years ago because it is-up-to-him to provide the evidence
necessary to protect his fighter’s earnings. Brazil is a mess as far as reporting
Boxing and MMA and is one of the few countries on our “Do Not Trust” list.
