Domenic Ingle in the corner

Post by palooka »

I have an understanding that Domenic Ingle has decades of experience of helping, training and cornering boxers of all levels of ability. I was a little surprised at how heated and stressed he became in Brooks' corner last night. He really seemed flustered and seemed to be argueing/chastising the bucket man at times. I'dve thought having a clear head and a calm corner were an advantage; was last night a one off or does Domenic have temprament issues that will effect the outcome of a bout he's involved with?

I think they weren't fully prepared for what happened to Kell hence him shouting for certain things in the corner, so lesson for them to prepare for all eventualities. Dom is experienced but never experienced that with Kell

I think Dom got annoyed at one point that the ice wasn't to hand.

To be honest, all bias aside, i honestly think Dom is one of the very best trainers and cornermen in the game and those that work with him trust him implicitly.

I realise that you don't like him Michael, which is fair enough, but please refrain from posting anything that could be potentially defamatory on the forum :TU:

I think that's prob what it was. All the talk about knocking Jones out kinda backfired.

Yes I noticed they washed him down put the towel on him, but no Vasaline afterwards, just gum shield in and sent him out, seemed like they where shocked that he was hurt and tired and were not prepared, a lot of shouting, reminded me of Mike Tyson's corner when Douglas got on top and cut Tyson, they seemed to panic, I guess they never expected to be in that position and was not prepared.

Get em told Mick. I used to like Brendan Ingle very wise and humble and a proper teacher. Dominic not my cup of tea at all. Arrogant and never heard him give any insightful advice in the corner. Looked very amateur-ish last night. Embarrassing at times. Neil Fannan has forgot more about boxing than Dom Ingle will ever know.
