Incredible KO. Barrett went down so hard and suddenly, in the side-on view it was as if one second here was there, the next he had just vanished!

And gotta love Joey Wilson. Saw vs Afa Tatupu and now this... really fun to watch.

Well done, Shane!

One win in his last seven fights, I wonder how long Boxrec will leave Barrett at 26?
?? boxrec uses computer generated rankings that update at 3am GMT daily. its not a john hogg kinda guy individually ranking everyone in the boxrec database
A heavyweight has just been moved back to the active list in the top ten by Boxrec after being KOed in his first fight back. Go figure.

N2 Shape wrote:A Good win for Shane and well deserved he always trains hard and is always dedicated to the cause so good to see him get the result. However lets not get things out of context, Barrett is a shot fighter who managed to beat a equally unmotivated shot fighter in Tua. Im happy Shane won, but the result would have only a small ripple effect if any at all on the world scene!! I Hope Dave stays retired hes well past it and it would be a shame to see him comeback in my opinion hes 40 ride off into the sunset. As for Shane be good to see him fight a Top Contender Someone in the Top 25 to really calculate where hes at.

A beautiful KO in anycase
I think Daves got heaps more to offer and in terms of NZ boxing his return to the ring will certainly spark things up again. Tua beats Shane, Monte beats Tua, Shane beats Monte - wow who would have thought, could we poss see in late 2013 'fight of the century'-part two???

Interviewed by Johnny Walker of Boxing Insider Tua said he did not retire and thinks he has "three or four years" left in him.

Sounds if though he's given up his dayjob as a lorry driver now, so hopefully he'll be fighting more often, a re-match would be good.

Just saw the "Boxrec"description of the Wilson/Haumono fight.

Since when was a 36 year old Sydneysider ( Haumono) an "Auckland prospect" ?

I was wondering this, could Haumono fight for the N.Z title?

He certainly knows more about ratings than you do. Even I know more than you.
