Anyone got sucked-in by the "Haye Hype" again?
Hi all,
aftre the Klitschko fight I swore I wouldn't pay anymore money to watch Haye fight: I'd thrown in a 5-er to see him fight Audley but only bought it as two mates each paid a 5-er to make up the costs..... for Klitschko I got sucked-in last minute and bought it (having said all along I wouldn't because "Kltischko on points, boring fight").
I will watch it if costs me nothing, but I just refuse to spend money on Haye anymore (although I don't want to miss a wild shoot-out, live!).
Anyone else taking a tough-line stance or is the hype doing its job?

Fury is WBO Inter champ..... but Haye-Chisora for same belt?
Hi all,
Haye-Chisora has publicly been for both the WBA and WBO Inter-baubles for quite a while now, yet we just saw Tyson Fury win the WBO intercontinental title at the weekend.
Anyone know what's occuring?
cheers,
Col/"T.M.K"

Hang about: there's now not only the (long-standing) WBO Intercontinental title.... which Fury won.
But
There's a WBO InterNATIONAL title!
That explains that then

Two different WBO belts.

Neither of them particularly neccessary.orbtastic wrote:Two different WBO belts.

I'm not going to pay to watch it. I'd watch it if it was free.
For me, this is another Haye vs Audley fight in that it's clearly obvious Haye is going to win.

They're necessary to make it a 12 rounder, they're necessary in order to sell the fighters to the wider audience.
Blame SKY, they started it about 12 years ago.

Based on what? It certainly isn't the way he struggled against Valuev & Klitschko. Or are you basing it on a overweight Chisora losing to the improving Tyson Fury or maybe the 3 mismatches we had to watch Haye in against Harrison, Barrett and Ruiz.ILikeBeer wrote:t it's clearly obvious Haye is going to win.
This certainly isn't as clear cut as many think.

To be honest I'm disgusted by all of you. How quickly you all forgot Valuev, Harrison and Klitschko. The big talk. The lack of delivery.
Haye is a salesman. He'll land a few bombs, be alarmed at Chisora eating them up and maintaining a pace, and he'll meekly tire out. And then he'll reveal that he had sore nipple, and some split ends in his corn rows that ultimately weakened him and cost him the fight. But he'll be back, and THIS TIME IT WILL BE WAR.

I thought you might have had your wheelbarrow out at 2/5. I would make Haye at least 1/4.Hagler2002 wrote:Based on what? It certainly isn't the way he struggled against Valuev & Klitschko. I'm with you on this, I took the early 2/1 Haye by ko at any stage for a monkey, so I guess I have either been suckered in or read the fight right, won't know until Saturday.mickey1975 wrote:I thought you might have had your wheelbarrow out at 2/5. I can see the argument for it not being clear cut, I just believe he has operated better at different levels ,I am not convinced Helenius was ever that good and Vitali is slowing dramatically and Chisora still lost very clearly.

Internatioanl AND Intercontinental titles? Does anyone have a clue as to what is the difference between them?
Or maybe I should email the WBO and ask them direct, would love to hear their answer.

I'll be watching purely to see him get chinned.
Used to be such a fan, but when he got outclassed so badly (inside and outside of the ring) against Wlad, I lost all respect for him (and gained a lot for Wladimir)

I'm really lost on this one. I genuinely don't know what to bet on. Too many outside factors. We could end up with Christ knows refffing for one. The fact FW is heavily involved with the Governing and sanctioning bodies doesn't bode well either. It could be one crazy night. There is value in chisora to win by K.O @ 7/1 but I expect Haye to eek out a points win but I'm not confident enough to bet big on any outcome. I'll keep to my strategy of betting small with the value and save for the occasional gifts that the bookies throw our way and bet huge.
Anyhoo, Haye has a lot to prove in my opinion in the Heavies. This could be just what he needs to gain back some of the respect he seems to have lost recently. I think it could be a cracking tear up.

I have to confess to being a big fan of Haye. I think it will be an entertaining match. I wonder if he will try and obliterate Chisora like Foreman did to Frazier.

I don't think Big George had to try, to be honest, but Haye will.big lennox wrote:I have to confess to being a big fan of Haye. I think it will be an entertaining match. I wonder if he will try and obliterate Chisora like Foreman did to Frazier.
Re: Anyone got sucked-in by the "Haye Hype" again?
no im watching just to see a scrap. i honestly dont care who wins. i'd ratehr haye as he is the lesser of 2 evils really.
i'll say Haye WKO 2
i'll say Haye WKO 2
Re: Anyone got sucked-in by the "Haye Hype" again?
Despite the absolute horseshit he served up against Klit & Fraudley, I'm watching it. Unlike Wlad, Chisora will press all night, and Haye's only option will be to try and keep him off with his own heavy leather. A pretty decent fight is going to ensue, whoever comes out on top.

Eddie Hearn and Sky TV bigged up Harrison's chances

100% agree.

I am betting he does back it up this time and takes Chisora apart inside 6 rounds. Different league to chisora.Eddy wrote:loaded_gloves wrote:To be honest I'm disgusted by all of you. How quickly you all forgot Valuev, Harrison and Klitschko. The big talk. The lack of delivery.

100% agree. He (David Haye) is a salesman. Come the fight, never backs it up.
Haye did not get knocked out against wlad either he just didnt go in for the kill until the last round.
Klits got a hitlist of ko's and Haye is not on there so he must have something besides being a salesman?
Re: Anyone got sucked-in by the "Haye Hype" again?
People complain about being short changed by haye but he said he would knock audley out in 3, he just didnt deliver on the wlad fight, the valuev fight wasnt great to watch but the tactics were working and he won. All bar one of hayes other fights have been great to watch even his loss to thompson. Barrett was great fun so was ruiz.
