haye chisora weigh in

Post by markfightoptions »

am i missing something here? i got an email from allegedly telling me to watch the weigh in live today (thursday) at 3pm, ive never seen a weigh in 48 hours before the fight, although its heavyweight and no weight limit but is this just another publicity stunt or has somebody pre-ejaculated with the email?

My gut instince tells me they are having it a day early to try and build up some hype for a big last day of sales. Only reason i can think of.
I think i seen Don Charles refusing to shake hands with Booth whilst Chisora was in the scales. The soap opera continues.

I expected Haye to be a bit heavier than that. 15 stone dead is pretty light! Expected Chisora to come in a bit lighter.

That's a really good weight for Haye. He will be like lightening at the weight. Although he lost, I thought he was incredibly quick against Wladimir, where he was the same weight moreorless. He doesn't want to be carrying extra weight which then slows him down if he has to wrestle with Chisora.

Yeah but being lighter will mean he's at a disadvantage if they do start grappling! He's at an advantage when he's moving about the ring but if Chisora pins him against the ropes he's gonna feel the difference in weight.

True, but I suspect his gameplan will be to use the ring and only engage when he sees the openings and then get out super quick again. I thought he was very good at evading Wladimir's shots and he is a quick heavyweight. What are your thoughts -who do you think wins and why? I think Haye by possible KO or widely on points.

Aye there was a barrier. Nothing really happened. Both mouthed off and that was it. Haye had about 15 security guards around him by the looks of it.

If they have that barrier up during the fight it's going to adversely affect Chisora putting pressure on Haye, imo.

I suppose the Luxembourg regs allow fighters to weigh in on a Thurs afternoon when you are fighting Sat night! Thats like 60 hours before the fight! This farce continues

based on my opinion...hence why i said it. I have seen both fighters and based on MY opinion, i believe Haye will stop Chisora and be too much for him. I believe his speed and work rate will be faster and sharper and i genuinely believe he hits harder. time will tell i suppose, what are your thoughts, rather than just picking up on mine? :TU:

Yep Haye prances around his side of the ring not throwing any punches, Chisora rattles the fence for ten rounds and Haye wins a Valuev style points victory.

Danny Williams is quoted in todays Boxing News that Chisora hasnt been himself during this training camp. (not sure if thats good or bad), 247 does seem heavy, particularly when it was kind of a given that Haye would be coming in at around 210.

Did the undercard fighters get weighed in?

Have been wondering this since the early weigh in was announced. If they did, then for me it's the most farcical and potentially dangerous thing to come out of this. Anyone know?

Did either party want it to be on a thurs, is one of them oing to enter the ring at a noticably different weight? Is it a practical joke and we're all going to miss the fight because it's really on tomorrow? :-? Don't understand it at all.

Just watched it but with no sound so don't know what was said etc.

Two things - the fence was a good gimmick when the fight announced but was pretty embarrassing at the weigh in when you could see if they wanted to the fighters could reach around it.

Secondly - have two different sets of scales ever been used before? I know this is a heavyweight fight so not as important regarding weight but surely they could be giving different readings?
