Khan is one dimensional although fortunately for him he is quicker and notably bigger than his opponents. Let’s see how he does moving up. IMO Brook would outthink and stop him after eight rounds if not earlier.
Yeah keep dreaming, Brook is above average but nothing special and his bubble has been well and truly burst against Jones who is hardly world class himself.

Khan is a two time world champion, Brook will never be once.

You can say exactly the same about Khan. He's been exposed three times by your logic and he's been brutally knocked out by a guy who's since been proven to be shit (cue the excuses).
If brook wins any old title tomorrow he's just as much a champ as Khan's ever been.

Maybe you should stop making stupid effing threads about Khan and have a word with yourself.

Some of you on here seem a bit sensitive or tapped in the head with some of your comments or pointless grievances about a class act like Khan.

exittored thanks for the advice but i think i will continue to post threads about whatever i want to as is my right and yours.
I was a fan of Khan well to be honest more of a casual supporter i met him at his book signing in Bolton town centre in october 2006 the first 100 books signed got tickets to see Joe Calzaghe fight Bika at the M.E.N which explains my reason for being there as im not in the habit of buying 18yr olds autobiography's in hind sight Joe was shocking that night so bit of a let down but hey ho .In the very brief chat we had as he signed my book he seemed like a decent lad and at that time no sign of ego .The book wasnt that bad and he and his family appeared to have worked hard to get Amir to where he was.
I was at the M.E.N when he won the WBA against Kotelnik and to be honest at that time it was pretty nailed on that even after his embarrasing KO by Prescott he could come back and pick up the fan base who had supported and made Ricky Hatton a much loved very rich man. :salut: .
However as he has progressed as a fighter he appears to have regressed as a person boxing fans are not the most complex of people they are pretty fair in the whole IMO . If you lose a fight and it was clear that you should have got the win they will acknowledge that and not hold it against you and more than that they will look forward to the rematch where justice will prevail. That is as long as you have dealt with the loss by quitely going to the sanctioning body and pleaded your case so you get the rematch ordered and then whipping yourself into the shape needed to give your opponenet the beating needed to tell the world the first fight decision was bullshit.
This didnt happen with Peterson that and the Mcloskey farce the ref keeping him up against Maidana in the 10th when he was out on his feet amongst countless other little niggles and his constant ability to sound like he really believes boxing owes him and that Timothy Bradley is scared to fight him. All this equates to me and judging by this thread a few others have had enough of the BOLLOCKS that is Team Khan .
Nothing to do with him being Pakistani (when it suits)

How is Prescott shit, he has a great record, he is a big puncher and avoided by a lot of the top fighters, he has been robbed because he has no big promoter behind him and fights in the backyard of his opponents, Khan is not bigger then his opponents, he started at lightweight and when he fought Prescott, Prescott was huge compared to Khan and that was at lightweight, I don't know why you have such hatred, Amir Khan has won world titles, for crying out loud, you might be able to question his personality, but not his record.

Considering how rich and famous khan became at a young age i think he's kept relatively level headed and down to earth. He's exiting, talented and if he was american they would be hailing him, but he's not he's british so he just gets stuck with british fans moaning, complaining and hoping he gets knocked out just because because as a nation we dont like confident people or high flyers.

Where are all the people who originally said he wasnt as good as john murray gone?!!! People like to support try hards and nearly made its in this country, many want to see people who made it big fail. Harrison, Nas, Khan, Haye, all disliked and some our highest achievers in the game, even Fury is getting the criticism now. Then british fans have the cheek to complain when the fighters bugger off to the US.

I've been to see Khan at a few stages of his career (first 2 that spring to mind are St Clair & Salita) and after the Salita fight i also thought that i'd go over to the states and watch him out there. However, as time has gone on, I've just become less interested.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is usually in a good fight and fairly entertaining but i've grown sick and tired of the build up to his fights. It's always about money (how much more he's getting than his opponent and that it is their biggest payday), excuses and just general bullshit. For example, in this build up, we've had:

1) It would've been Petersons biggest payday and Khan did everything to accomodate him by going 50/50
2) Peterson was drugged up and that's why Khan couldn't hurt him
3) Rat poison in toothpaste

If he just tones it down a bit and engages th brain before speaking then he'd probably win back quite a few fans

My disliking of Khan is simple he runs his mouth off all the time with notably embarrassing statements. And his record is not all that, what dangerous and prime fighter has he fought and beat convincingly – Fagan – Barrera - Salita – Malignaggi - Judah. If he wasn’t a GBP fighter he would have been stopped in the 10th as mentioned against Maidana. The bottom line is he should keep his trap shut and do what he gets paid to do! The only credible win was against Kotelnik I give him that, although WTF has Andri done since then….. :o

Brilliant post Kingfinn, does Naseem Hamed ring a bell, another over confident world champion not liked by the british public in general, remember when he got beat by barrera, not the same response as when Bruno and Hatton got beat.

prime example of misplaced dislike. "Whos khan beat?" Now world champion maliagnaggi? The man they said he was ducking even though he had only been in the same weight class 2 months maidana (oh sorry apparently he should have lost)? the current world champion zab judah? the current world champion kotelnic?

Hell in his last 8 fights if you include this saturday and assume he will win - he will have fought 3 world champions, 1 now world champion, a man he destroyed in 70 seconds, a man who won a another world title 2 fights after khan had defeated him, and his immediate rival a drugs cheat who only managed to beat him on a dubious points win. Yeah doesnt sound like a credible champion to me :witzend: .

Really…Nas could back it up beating everybody until his ego taken over. Khan’s ego landed many moons ago.

Let’s not forget “Bradley is terrified to fight me”, funnily enough Team Khan couldn’t have got the memo everybody was well aware Tim had contractual issues....:TU:

To be fair, Hatton always had his detractors and people picking holes in his opposition and saying he was avoiding people. There was Witter, Mitchell for a while and Cotto who moved up for his own reasons and had a comfortable ride at Lww.

No, contractual issues in boxing are of most importance these guys fight for a living and should be able to maximise their careers.

Lol, keep defending the only credible opponents he has beating at world level are Maidana and Andri. The Barrera fight is a disgrace Fwank and team Khan should hold there head in shame forever. Salita LOL!!!! Judah 5 years past his prime, exactly… Amir could have tried to fight (Before contractual issues) Bradley, Alexander, or Ortiz when these three along with Amir were being touted as being in the hottest division, although he struggled with the dazzling McCloskey.

To play devils advocate here, is that a reflection on the number of 'world' titles available rather than the quality of his actual opposition?

When we start considering world champions mediocre opposition we are in trouble, if it was one or two then maybe there would be a case but 6 world champions in 8 fights? They may not be the elite like manny, jmm and PBF But they are the next level down (top world class champions) do we now start saying khan hasnt fought anyone because he hasnt fought an all time great in their prime.

Dead right about what? Bradley is not the only fighter to have contractual issues these things happen. Amir some how believes in his pea brain boxing is all about him its not. He is a clown who shouldn’t be allowed to speak…or have a twit-er account.

Why not put up your own points rather than looking for other posters to do your talking!

You are the one mentioning “It's not because he is a Pakistani then ?” why is that? You seem to believe Khan is above criticism he is a good fighter nothing more nothing less!

In truth, in is starting to look that way especially when Khan's own promoters are happy to say that one of their own fighters who is a world champion isn't ready to fight established champions at his weight yet. The 'champions' at the weights now aren't always the best fighters at the weight and when fighters are happy to feast on the weaker champions around then this really doesn't help their case.

For example, would Hatton coming back and beating Malignaggi at welterweight for his title make you think he was a legitimate champion?
