People may say that Chisora never beat anyone decent but he was robbed against Helenius and gave a decent performance in the Klit fight.

I suspect that Dereck's camp went badly though, his timing looked dreadful
The thing that annoyed me was that when he did manage to get within range, a lot of the time he didnt let his hands go and haye would simply tie him up! He'd then have to reset and try all over again to get inside. I dont think he looked very good in this fight but I wont take anything away from Haye as he still blitzed him!

Adamek must be worth a shot if Vitali is not on immediate radar

I thought WBC were down on Haye too. ??
I'm not convinced VK will bother if he has so much going on outside boxing, retirement party might suit him fine.

It was a good performance, but I can't see either Klitschko running for the hills. Why would they? Wlad was able to see off Haye easily enough before, and I very much doubt Vitali is suddenly going to become intimidated by seeing Chisora knocked out. Both brothers need credible opponents, this has put Haye back in the mix to face either of them, not scared them off.

He had a bad toe against Wlad.
Of course, how silly of me to forget that. :D

The brothers K will be delighted with this, not running scared of it.

Exactly.and if there is a fee involved then the WBC may easily change their mind

yeah, in some ways it was a mixed performance; but when you dominate an opponent like that it's hard to criticise......

Could swap 'WBC may' to 'WBC wouldn't think twice'. They'll even defend wife-beating to keep the fees rolling in.

Wlad did badly in that fight his saving grace was that haye bigged himself up so much everyone was dying to stick the boot in when he choked. Wlad didnt land one meaningful punch. It was an all round poor figh

Oh I agree, it wasn't great. But can you honestly say that Wlad would shit out of a rematch based on tonight?

Unless Haye fights and beats Vitali I think Wlad would find a way not to fight Haye purely to spite him.

That I can buy. I just take umbrage with the idea that tonight (as impressive as it was from Haye) will have the Klitschko's running scared.

I want to see Haye against VK, but I can understand why Wlad is in no hurry to give him another shot. Lets see Haye beat another contender and earn his shot before he cashes out.
I don't have any great desire to see Haye beat a Klitschko and immediately retire. Whats in that for boxing? It was up to Haye to beat Wlad first time round.

When Wladimir if fighting guys like Mormeck and Thompson, I think Haye has already done enough to earn another shot.

Unless Wladimir fights a top class opponent next, a lot of people will be asking "why not fight Haye instead of this bum?".

I do agree with what you're saying, I just imagine Wlad is quite enjoying his position after being offended by Haye. Ultimately, Wlad will move with what brings the most money. . And that would have to be Haye. Can't imagine what his current list of potential foes looks like.. well, I can- rubbish.

Haye fighting another good opponent would help to rebuild his credibility for a rematch with Wladimir and would make it easier to sell the fight. So, I am not against him doing that.

However, unless Wladimir fights either Povetkin, Adamek, Pulev or Fury; then he can't say Haye doesn't deserve a shot. Even the fighters I mentioned aren't very good, so Haye can't be dismissed regardless of how bad he was against Wladimir the first time.

Adam Booth said after the fight that Haye would not fight anyone aside from one of the brothers.

Food for thought, it seems Mr Warren was involved in post fight celebrations. I wonder if Haye will have Frank broker a deal for him to fight a klitchko?

I think if haye wants the fight to happen he needs FW to broker the deal. Booth and haye have done well matchmaking in the past but k2 are clearly tough nutts for them to crack.

You know I've got a lot of love for you, MW, so I'm going to think again. The Wlad experience really did my mixer in and not simply because of the performance but because of all the lies surrounding it. But this is high praise indeed.
It did my head in as well Ian, and I didn't even go to Germany. But credit where it's due, that was an electric finish by DH. I only mentioned Iron Mike, because you don't often see such as clinical knock out at heavyweight these days.
Even so, I wouldn't look forward to the Vitali fight all that much, as Haye would revert to his safety first style. And if anyone think he gets a Wlad rematch then they're crazy.

Surely Haye poses more of a threat to klitschko than Chris Arreola, tony thornton or shane cameron?

It were never a question of how hard Haye can hit. How hard can Haye hit a much bigger, taller man? Last time out he didn't do that well; anyone Davids' size is in trouble; anyone really good and bigger is on stronger ground.

How did Haye get away with wearing that corset for the first few rounds?

It was one of the highest trunk pull ups I have ever seen. He looked like he was wearinhg a nappy.

He has boxed Wladimir now so will know what adjustments to make. Surely you would rather see Wlad against Haye who has a legitimate shot of winning that Wlad boxing Arreola, Cameron, Thornton(again) Financially and legacy wise it makes more sense to have a remtch with Haye. Same with Chisora. He is boxing a guy next that I have never even heard off. They are talking about Price and Fury, instead of Haye and those guys are just learning the trade. I think their manager has no intention of risking Vitali getting beaten by Haye.

Thompson. Apologies. My point is I'd rather see Vitali or Wlad take on someone like Haye or Huck, two guys that are dangerous and at least come to win.
