Re: Booth v casey
I see it was a SD those any one know how it went?
Re: Booth v casey
Was a good fight which myself and most others there thought booth won. Knockdown was ruled a slip and rightly so and the first 6 rounds were very even with booth doing the cleaner crisper work but casey bulling him to the ropes and landing a fair few right hands to the body. The next 3 rounds booth controlled landing some lovely left hooks to the body and jabs, his footwork and movement was brilliant and had casey chasing shadows. Casey up it and swept 10 and 11 with greater aggression and a higher punch volume so going into the last I had booth 1 up. The last round booth out punched casey and looked to have won in an all action scrap.
When scores were read disbelief as dave parris scored it 116-112 for casey and then the announcer said and the other 2 judges score it 115-114 people thought booth had a split decision but casey got a decision. Very harsh on booth who deserved to win as he schooled casey for large parts. Was very disappointed in casey who just followed booth around the ring and winged away to the body when on the ropes

Re: Booth v casey
He won on points 40-37 dunno how it should of been the clearest of shutouts, Mark looked brilliant, he used excellent combinations was very accurate and his footwork and defence were excellent given his inexperience, he impressed me more than anyone.Champfan10 wrote:What was the results from the undercard? Glen foot won tko 3 he looked very aggressive and looks dangerous
Best fight was Peter cope who won 98-92 against Reid which was a war! Cope is huge for the weight with a massive reach. For such a young kid he put his punches together well and showed great grit and stamina just hope he develops some power are every fight wil be a war
Re: Booth v casey

I thought booth won. By two rounds but I was way up in the boxes mate and young copey went to war from the off thought he put them toghether well reid is a tough nut but would like cope to move to feather weight it was frighten when he weighed in yesterday needs to let himself grow I did it drained myself for years doesn't help you I thought the full day was a great day anyone missed it wants to make it next year as cracking showfantaheed wrote:Hi mate how did you see the booth fight compared to my report/scoring of it above? great show, what you tink of the peter cope fight? he had some canny support it was like the only was is essex hahatear up wrote:One of the best shows Iv been too two years off the belt thanks phill value for money even the meal in the boxes was unreal tommy ward didn't ever box as a senior and turned pro he gave a mans performance yesterday great win he one to watch and as for booth those who think he s finished he s not and no were. Re: Booth v casey
yeah he looked huge for the weight a frail at the same time i thought if reid banged a bit harder he could of had cope in serious trouble but fair play to the yound lad he put it in big style and left it all in the ring.tear up wrote:I thought booth won. how far do you think glenn foot can go? he has a good style and is very aggressive
Re: Booth v casey
really enjoyed peter copes fight - i had it closer then it was on the cards but cope deserved to win - good fight
really dont know how booth lost to casey i had him winning it - how one judge had 116-112 for casey wtf?

Re: Booth v casey
i thought copes was a very close fight as in every round was close but peter landed more shots in nearly every round and whenever you thought he was in trouble he would fire back with a quality combination to head and body, yet reid never stopped coming forward. excellnet fight tho id worry about cope at that weight he looked very frail and could do with moving up a weight. i only gave reid 2 rounds quite harsh considering his effort but agreed with judges.REEVE wrote:really enjoyed peter copes fight - i had it closer then it was on the cards but cope deserved to win - good fight![]()
