I had to google that quotation, because I couldn't imagine any reputable dictionary providing that 'definition'. Turns out you go to urban dictionary to satisfy your lexical needs!ThereByTheGrace wrote:Eddy wrote:loaded_gloves wrote:To be honest I'm disgusted by all of you. How quickly you all forgot Valuev, Harrison and Klitschko. The big talk. The lack of delivery.
Haye is a salesman. He'll land a few bombs, be alarmed at Chisora eating them up and maintaining a pace, and he'll meekly tire out. And then he'll reveal that he had sore nipple, and some split ends in his corn rows that ultimately weakened him and cost him the fight. But he'll be back, and THIS TIME IT WILL BE WAR.
100% agree. He (David Haye) is a salesman. Come the fight, never backs it up.
He is a joke figure in Boxing circles after that feeble performance against Wlad. He has no credibility and I don't think he is a salesman. I would rather use the either of the following terms:
Confidence trickster, shyster and/or charlatan.
Definition of Charlatan:
"A very convincing liar. A scam artist pretending to be interested in your well-being or wants you to be interested in someone else's well-being in order to trick you into handing over your money. A person who manipulates your vulerabilities and appeals to your emotions with a touching story or puppy-dog face before asking for a 'financial' gift."
'Vulerabilities'. Good grief.

I was so relieved that the world was still turning this morning. There were some on here with such dire predictions about the bout and what colossal damage it was cause to British boxing I imagined armageddon straight afterthe bout. In the event it was a good enough shootout, well attended and I'm sure the promotion had all the safety factors in place.

I wouldn't know about everyone.
Re: Anyone got sucked-in by the "Haye Hype" again?
Lol, Reading some of the bullshit posts on here discrediting Haye...clearly never watched him fight at cruiserweight a weight he could still fight at BTW. This is a fighter who has given away as much as 7 stone in a fight and a foot in height comparably like Manny Pacquiao fighting David Haye himself not to mention Haye fought the best HW of the last decade arguably (or Vitali)... Cut him some slack ffs he may waffle nonsense comparable to Amir “He’s a Superstar..” Khan although he brings a certain excitement to the boring K2 dominated division.
