Bika vs Adonis Stevenson

Apparently this fight is under negotiation. I believe the winner becomes the mandatory challenger for the IBF title.
Stevenson is a Canadian-based Haitian. He lost to Jarrod Fletcher in the finals of the 2006 Commonwealth Games, but his power punching style is better suited to the pro ranks. His stoppage of Jesus Gonzales is a contender for KO of the year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGX3_1I944w
While Stevenson is probably the harder puncher, his durability is suspect; he was knocked out in two rounds by journeyman Darnell Boone. It could be a painful night for Stevenson if Bika doesn't wilt early.
Both fighters like to advance and trade, so expect fireworks if the bout materializes.

It was a HUGE left hand that dropped Gonzales. Looked like rigor mortis had set in almost instantlycrusader wrote:http://www.rds.ca/boxe/chroniques/342334.html

Good fight for Bika. I see Sakio winning by stoppage in the late rounds. Stevenson can bang but is still un tested. If it comes to battle of will and the better chin we all know who wins in those departments!!

Love how the French Canadians called the IBF the FBI. Did they think Gay Edna Hoover set it up posthumously? ![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)

Hope Bika don't lose it and get DQed again.D J Pawsey wrote:100 percent mateTrainInsane wrote:First few rounds in particular could be brutal.D J Pawsey wrote:Good fight for Bika. Bika needs fights like these, surprised really, what a fight this could be.
What a division the super middle is though, even if this doesn't eventuate, there's 10 other fighters that could make it exciting, despite what the fat man has to say.

Re: Bika vs Adonis Stevenson
Bika last fought on June 2 winning by 10th round KO over Dyah Davis in the USA. Wouldn't August be a bit soon for another main event?
Bika has fought World Champions. Why would he duck this bloke?

Re: Bika vs Adonis Stevenson
Stevenson's most likely opponent seems to be Don (Donovan) George.

Bika often seems to have a lot of trouble getting fights. Strange he should turn what appears to be a good fight away.Brute wrote:Bika last fought on June 2 winning by 10th round KO over Dyah Davis in the USA. Wouldn't August be a bit soon for another main event?

Disappointing that didn't turn out. Who knows what terms he was offered, Bika doesn't have an ounce of ducker about him. He's a bonafide nightmare opponent for anyone IMO.
