Solomon Haumono v Franklin Egobi

Egobi has done a Belshaw, travelling down under to ply his trade.

hes a very fat and slow heavy ...mostly retired ...last seen in the UK in Prizefighter two years ago, losing to kevin Mcbride in the quarters.

recently won on a TD in the first round in australia but i dont know anything more...i assume it was something like excessive wrestling.

anyway hopefully Haumono wont get caught up in dull points slog and goes for a big KO.

i know it would be considered a keep busy fight, but solo doesn't need these crap fights anymore imo.

its just time wasting.

target a name fighter that will test him properly and see if he has what it takes.

I'm now of the opinion he can't reach the world stage, he drew with Wilson from New Zealand FFS, and from what i hear lost.

He's had too many chances in 2 different sports and couldn't reach the top in either.

It's a shame, because i was a big big fan in both sports, and feel really let down. The fact that he never gave it a shot is the thing he'll be remembered for.

Egobi beat Amosa Zinck, a 39 year old New Zealand based Samoan whose last win was about four years ago. Haumono is getting on but he will be a much tougher proposition for Egobi than Zinck.

Those hits he used to pull off, were defening, and painful to watch, big hitter. Had it all, just misguided.

Egobi is not too bad, but I really don't see much value in anything but a Wilson rematch for Solo.

If Solo was 110% focused and committed to giving his boxing career one last crack and was fighting every 2nd month then Egobi would be a good opponent.
