How come Haye and Chisora's records not updated yet?
I noticed last week that on David Hayes and Chisora's records there was no mention of their upcoming fight, they are normally listed on their records. On checking their records after the fight they still haven't been updated. Just wondering why?

BoxRec is going down a slippery slope if they're not going to include this bout due to a technicality. Their reasoning is going to sound more political than logical to most observers, who plainly saw that a bout occurred.
It makes me wonder what other prominent fights from the last 100 years have been deliberately excluded due to a sanctioning body's feelings about the circumstances. It's unfortunate, because BoxRec is as close as any sport has even gotten to complete documentation readily available for the public.

Even now they have put it on their records they have the result as No Contest and have Haye won via TKO in the description. they should change the actual result to of what it was! plus i am not too sure about boxrecs point system if Chisora does not lose any points after that fight!

That's my main concern now that they've listed the fight as NC. Haye popped back into the rankings at #6 due to a No Contest, but Chisora didn't lose any points. That doesn't make a lot of sense.GanterpBoxing wrote:Even now they have put it on their records they have the result as No Contest and have Haye won via TKO in the description. they should change the actual result to of what it was! plus i am not too sure about boxrecs point system if Chisora does not lose any points after that fight!
Boxrec has a computerized ranking system that has unfettered access to a complete record of the history of boxing (as close as reasonably possible) yet it will have to ignore a major result between two high-ranked fighters. The next person to beat Chisora will get rewarded too much, and this slight wave will ripple through the ratings for years.

I would like to know the answer to these questions as well.

Really disappointed with BoxRec on this one. Politics ruin boxing all across the board. BoxRec has been one of the only places to come over the past couple of years to get an unbiased idea/view on a fighter and his record without having to worry about boxing politics getting in the way. Everyone knows the result of the Haye-Chisora fight, and for BoxRec to ignore it... you have to question their motives. A bad move on their part, very damaging to the websites reputation. The fact they've added the true result in the description just makes it worse.
I heard a rumour it is because of close ties they have with the European Boxing Union (EBU), a body which publicly challenged this bout from taking place, sided with the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), and threatened to ban all members involved in the Upton Park show. It is laughable really, considering, although not in the best taste, the bout was perfectly legal. For some fat cat to throw his toys out of the pram because the bout went ahead without him and his body, just sad. Vainglorious. Sore losers.
If people were out-witted, then they just need to hold their hands up and say "they got us", and move on. No point hating after the event. Bitterness is no good for nobody. I could be wrong, it could be an association with one of the world governing bodies who banned Chisora who are causing this to happen. Either way, we can be sure, we have some self-righteous, pompous, hypocrite dealing out a skewed sense of justice, just to massage the ego's of himself and his corrupt boxing buddies. The same sort of people who approve of Wlad-Thompson II, Wlad-Mormeck, Vitali-Charr, Vitali-Briggs.

I knew I should have qualified that. :) The major sports with powerful monopoly leagues are pretty well documented. Sports like boxing have long been chaotic and haven't had a central repository like football, baseball, etc. naturally do. Individual rather than team sports are harder to find comprehensive resources for, and BoxRec could just as easily not exist and people would say "well, what are you gonna do, try to record every fight? good luck with that"
Compare what's available for say, tennis, which you would think might have a TennisRec long before boxing would have a BoxRec. There's tennisarchive.com now, but it's only a few years old and has a ways to go before being as complete. Even MMA, which is only a few decades old, isn't as well-documented.

I also love how the mods/admins are ignoring this thread completely, along with every other related thread in the current scene. Idiots.
BTW, here is a link to the video--get over it guys, it happened, it was legal, it had a clear result, and you need to stop acting like babies and record it as such:
