Frampton v Martinez European Title confirmed 22nd September

Post by Andrew »

Just read this on Sky Sports

http://www1.skysports.com/boxing/news/1 ... n-Martinez

Plus the fight is now on both fighters boxrec profile. After the fight was cancelled due to a Martinez injury last year I'm glad to see this back and is should prove to be a solid test for Carl which he is in need of. Also should Carl win it could possibly set up a fight with one of his domestic rivals. The top 3 in the EBU rankings are Munroe, Quigg and Galahad.

I'll be honest I have not seen Martinez's fights with Munroe saw his fight be Booth on youtube and he looks a solid and tough fighter.

How do you see this going ???

Frampton should have too much for Martinez at this stage. similar gameplan to the last fight against the Mexican kiddy, i'd imagine.

martinez has his level and can be outboxed as its been proved in the past. it should be a ood fight and will show where framptons current level is at no matter how he wins or loses

Shame it won't get the coverage it deserves as more people will be intrested in Burns v Mitchell

Tough fight for Frampton, Martinez has improved since his to defeats to Munroe tries to box hos way in instead of just throwing I can see him dropping Frampton but losing a tight descion

Nice little scrap. Kiko is a danger man for the opening rounds, so he needs to box smart.
