Mundine and Nasser split

Post by Like a Boss »

One of the newspapers ran a story today that Choc Mundine and his manager Nasser had split. Haven't seen much of Nasser lately. Maybe it is true?

Rumour has it that they had a disagreement after the McKart fight about the future direction of Mundine's career.

Perhaps our Man is getting a bit peeved that:

1. He didn't earn big bickies at all from his last outing in the USA, and

2. His mate "Dunny" or is it now "Money Bill" is getting more attention from manager: Nasser and the local sporting media as well as earning quite a bit more of the "green stuff"!

I read only 250 odd people paid to watch the Mundine v McKart fight. Hard to see the yanks getting interested in Choc any time soon. Perhaps that is what Nasser spelled out to Choc and he didn't want to hear it.

Absolutely best thing that can happen to Mundine, even in this late stage of his career.

His public Persona and career may now go somewhere, because in most people's view, this guy was an anchor around his waist.

I do not know one person (Apart from Choc) who actually had anything nice to say about or liked the grub, I know for a fact most/everyone in Team Mundine hated him.

I have always said Choc's biggest problem was his managment and advisors. This is a step in the right direction, but too little, too late I am afraid.

That's not unusual. Nasser has had just about anyone willing to criticise choc or him banned from attending choc's fights. He tries to control public opinion by only allowing yes into the circle..

Yeah! I, being one of the many critics for many years, had a run-in with him & one of his bum boys @ a weigh-in. They requested I piss off and I promptly told them to gert stuffed 'cos a hotel foyer was hardly their private area.

I am very disappointed with the way Chocs career has gone, as are most. But as a manager I think Khoder has done wonders for him. Made him shit loads of money for really no risk. If Choc was serious about his legacy, fighting the best and all that bullshit, rather than just making money he would have ditched Khoder a long time ago. Khoder did what was good for Choc and Khoder, financially. And thats what Mundine wanted, up until recently.

I dont think Choc could have done much better financially. Building a "legacy" and fighting some big names, yeah Khoder could have done more to achieve that. But I dont think choc wouldve made more money than he has with Khoder....and as I stated, for minimal risk. pretty good management if ya ask me, even though it pissed me off so often, watching a world class talent just wasted !!

Choc sold out on legacy no doubt about that and it cost him his credibility with many. But Khoder got him the best possible price for doing it.
