The Star claim Kel Brook is considering leaving the ingles to join Carl Froch's trainer. It gives a bit more control to matchroom and could see him training at the state of the art GB centre.

People conveniently forget that Brook has left the Ingles before.
It could happen again.
I'm not for one minute suggesting it is the right thing to do, just that he's been prepared to do it before.
A Trainer cannot be with a fighter 24/7.
McCracken won't be on his case 24/7 - he doesn't live in Sheffield.
Fighters all too often prepared to point the finger elsewhere, when in truth they need to take a glance in the mirror.

Obviosuly I dont know the ins and outs of it and I dont think it is down to Ingle just saying if there is a problem with going out round Sheffield etc maybe that could help.

At the end of the day though he's a grown man so he can do what he wants! Its his responsibility in terms of how much success he wants out of his career and if he blows it then its own bloody fault really!

He would get plenty of topline sparring from the GB performance squad and from any visiting amateur squad who will be all looking to put holes into a guy that is pushing for a World title tilt and is a Lonsdale belt holder. So I think would be good for him to have a such a benefical change.

I honestly can't believe that there is even a question that Kell should be looking to change trainers. I've spoken to Kell's dad and he's told me that there's nothing in the rumours that are doing the rounds. I'm sure Terry wouldn't mislead me on that so i think this is probably a dead duck guys.

Kell is unbeaten and mixing in world class. For the most part, he has absolutely shone. The only question mark that has arisen is his stamina, following him gassing it in the last five rounds against Carson Jones. Well, he still won that fight, and won it by a few rounds as well. And he was in an exciting fight, which is what Sky are all about (quite right, too).

Amir Khan, however, got chinned a few years ago and ran off to the USA, inferring blame on his trainers. Now he's got chinned again and it seems that once again he's gonna sack his trainer. And this particular trainer is the same guy that a few months ago almost everybody would have nominated as the greatest trainer in the world! Crazy. I actually read a quote from Amir saying 'perhaps i need to get back in my comfort zone'. Isn't that the exact reason you left in the first place, Amir?

Kell has been training at Wincobank since he was eight years old (other than a spell at Dave Coldwell's and obviously Dave is a good trainer and someone who knew Kell inside out and understood him as a person). They have developed his natural talent and trained him to the point of winning a world title in one of the toughest divisions out there. The first six rounds against Jones, Kell looked absolutely sensational - footwork, technique, shot selection, accruacy, timing. Jones couldn't do anything with him. Late on the fight, Dom instructed Kell to switch to southpaw and step away from Jones' right and this tactical switch probably ensured Kell took some points from rounds 10 and 11 and won the fight.

No disrespect to Robert McCracken, who i hear would indeed like to train Kell, but other than train Froch, what has he done to make anyone think he's a better trainer than the Ingles? Lenny Daws? Billy Corcoran? He was in-house trainer for Hennessey for years and that's why he ended up with Froch who had been a top amateur. I hope that it's not simply the plan that Eddie's gonna make him in-house trainer for Matchroom too. I'm sure that Eddie wouldn't try and force any decision like that on the family, prioritising his own interests rather than those of Kell.

Yes, RM is obviously a very capable trainer but his track record doesn't bear comparison at this stage of their career and certainly there's nothing compelling there to suggest that Kell would benefit from that move.

So, for what it's worth, i think that for Kell to change trainers now without having first eliminated all the problems that are well within his control (and only his control) would be sheer lunacy - and also very unfair on the team that have invested a huge amount of time and care in Kell and looked after him outside the gym as well as inside it.

Times two .I think the absolute worst thing Kel could do at this stage is start fresh.If and its a big if there is a problem sit down work it out and change it with the guys who know you best.
