Another reaso american heavyweight would be good or meehan , welliver or the guy who beat welliver sherman williams, I think even though he can make cruiser hes seems weaker at that weight.

He is solid at heavyweight, he should move forward and leave Tua out of the picture. Tua is a big risk, especially after an impressive KO.

I personally think Shane is a big, mean cruiserweight.
If he was to stay there, Eric Fields or Troy Ross would be a nice matchup.

If he stays at heavyweight (please don't Shane!) I think the like of Travis Walker, Franklin Lawrance or even someone along the lines of Albert Sosnowski could be entertaining.

Sooner rather than later he'll get sparked boxing at heavy, a commonwealth cruiser defense against Brad Pitt would be interesting (If he still holds the belt???...)

There's always more spondoolies to be made in the heavyweight division, so I'd expect Shane to take a fight or two in that class even though he'd be best to stay at cruiserweight. Unless, of course, he can't comfortably stay at that weight. If he can though, he could be a star. Take the Commonwealth title he won from Vea, make a defence against somebody like Danny Green or Steve Cunningham say, then angle for a fight with Denis Lebedev or Krzysztof Wlodarczyk or YP Hernandez. If Hernandez loses to the "Toronto Fashion Designer" Troy Ross, he might be willing to travel to Australia.

I think his intentions are to stay at Heavyweight, and I for one think he had to weaken himself considerably to make Cruiser. Sure he can make the weight and he is a small heavyweight but he looks stronger as a smaller heavyweight than he does as a bigger Cruiser if that makes sense. He's said he feels more comfortable at heavyweight around the 97-98kg mark.

I think he should look at having one more fight against a guy who has a semi decent name but shouldnt be to much of a threat before stepping it up and having a crack at a Top 15 Heavy! If they could get a Chris Arreola or Seth Mitchell fight both would be explosive fights and im not saying Shane would beat them buts he capable. But before one of those guys he needs another hit out. What about Alex Leapai? Would be a decent fight in Australasia. Alex gerts a shot at getting back in the mix after the Johnson loss and Cameron gets another solid win over a quality regional opponent before trying for a Top 15 guy!

Manufacture a road to a big pay day title shot-- don't waste time fighting anyone other than someone useful to step on and get that shot. If he wins -- great!! take the money and retire and if he loses-- same as before. A real good guy who has worked hard and don't waste time. Best of luck to Shane...he will probably need it all and the rest is in this guys heart.

As i see it Shane has 3 options at Heavy

1. Micheal Grant , 6'7 american well past his best but still winning fights and at 48-4 is expericed and still quite well known is the US. If Shane wants a shot at Vitali or Wlad , Grant would be a great stepping stone.

2. Travis Walker , Pretty much ended Meehan is the IBF Pan Pac Champ and fights anyone and doesnt take a backward step doesnt have the same profile as Grant but is still well known fighter.

3. Bowie Tupou , Aussie Tongan trained by jeff mayweather and under gary shaw , at 29 Tupou needs to push foward and win over shane would give him just the boost he would need , a fight downunder or semi main event on major fight in the US would be a possiabilty.

All tough but winable fights for Shane

I think Leapai or Meehan, really would b the best career move, it still was just Monte Barrett, the guy who had like 1 win over his last 8 or 9 opponents, careful not to get too carried away.

I love how he's reinvented himself after suffering a brutal stoppage, my hats off to the bloke.

Maybe a rematch with Friday Ahunanya? Then maybe Liakhovich or Chauncy good friend Helenius?.

Michael Grant-- don't waste time with anything or anyone else unless it's a charity fight to make some extra money.... make hay while sun shines before the rain comes.... Good luck!

I like Shane at heavy. he wasnt showing too much at cruiser and seemed to lack "pop" in his punches.
I'd love to see him in there with Leapai or DeMori (more of a chance with leapai I think).
If not one of these local lads, get a reasonable name opponent...hell, why wait. Adamek would be a decent size match up for him.

I would love to see Cameron v DeMori but This is Shanes shot to set up a title fight that wont do that , at 34 time is a wasting ,
I see Travis Walker is fighting Adamek , Leapai needs a Hand op ,and I hope Shane doesnt piss about and get a fight sooner rather than later Nothing less than a Name Fighter! (no disrespect to Mark or Alex)
P.S Shane Went to crusier to set up a big pay day fight with Danny Green who give him a verbal before losing to Tarver
