Always wondered who it was that attacked Murray in that incident. Presumably it wasn't any of the brothers directly, but some of their hired help?Eddy wrote:He'd soon find out though if he pipe'd up, trust me!Just ask UFC fighter "lighting" Lee Murray Who's currently in prison in Morocco for 25 years, for the 50 million £ raid in Kent in 2006. Good documentaries on Youtube to watch.

They didn't do it themselves. Lee Murray was a man not to be messed with. But once he tried expanding his "business" and chucking his weight around beyond the Sidcup/Plumstead/Thamesmead area, he got dealt with. That's what I was told by a real shady fella. Also herd it from a few other people too.

Is that the incident where he got knifed through the heart outside a club and nearly died?Eddy wrote:They didn't do it themselves. Lee Murray was a man not to be messed with. Yeah outside the club. They were all there for some page 3 model's birthday. He (Lee) said it was to do with his mates fighting some fellas. What I was told by a bloke in a S'arf London boozer, it was to do with The Adams. I was then told the same story by different people in Essex. All in the same week of when the attack happened. True or not I don't know, bit of a coincidence I thought. :!:

They (the Adams) used to rent their name out to other criminals & gangs because of the reputation and fear it commanded. As well as having out 'n out nutters and hard cases and corrupt politicans; coppers on the pay roll. Even the Jamaican crack dealers that lived in Islington The Yardies worked for him. He also had hundreds of little scum bags just like that 21-year-old your talking about also working for him as well on the North London estates. All trying to impress him. He's worth (or was) over £250,000,000 mil. He didn't get there by chucking hot sugar in people's in faces in a cell or mugging 'ol ladys. You owed him money and you didn't pay ...lol

Paul Sykes was funny, but ultimately bent as a 9 bob note, the big bender he was, being in prison is no excuse for faggotry!
Re: Good documentaries on Youtube to watch.
Cheers for the Sykes vid, good watch that.
"I am a wonderful citizen" :)
So what would happen, if you took Sykes, Mclean, that gypsy fella Gorman, etc in some kind of prizefighter?? Anyone care to speculate who'd win?

Sykes lived on the same estate as me in Wakefield. When sober and fit he was a real handfull for anyone in a street fight. Growing up there was many a time when I would cross the road to avoid a pissed up Sykes stumbling home from the boozermercman wrote:Hard to tell but McLean, Gorman etc never fought as professional boxers (although Roy Shaw admittedly did at middleweight). Sykes, on the other hand was a British title challenger and had a good amateur pedigree, so I would back Sykes under Queensbury rules.Mensa07 wrote:Cheers for the Sykes vid, good watch that.

Sykes might be entertaining on Youtube in a sort of manic way but there is no doubt that he was a very dangerous and nasty piece of work in reality.
If I had not played rugby league, I am positive he would have wasted me one afternoon when he terrorized a pub and sat next to me. He told me that Rugby League was a man`s sport and that only "good cun*s" played it. I`m pretty sure if I told him I played tennis he would have offed me on the spot.
A very scary man.

I don't mind the odd bit of BS. Most characters tell the odd lie. That's what gives 'em their character. I bet most was "tongue in cheek" half the time with people like Sykes and McLean Beating up sharks and being unbeaten in 1000 fights lol. It's like when you have a beer in a Weather Spoon's pub with your Grandad and his mates, listerning to the old boys' war stories; them telling ya about knowing the Krays. Half of what they tell ya is probably 'porkys' but it's still fun to have a chat 'n listen to 'em still. Big pinch of salt though.
Re: Good documentaries on Youtube to watch.
Is the fight o their lives (benn McClellan) online anywhere?
Re: Good documentaries on Youtube to watch.
Watched Dewey bozella and assault in the ring yesterday, both very moving, any other docu's similar to those worth watching?

You seem to be quite ITK, did Lee Murray knock Tito Ortiz out, outside that nightclub in London?

Roy Jones vs John Ruiz. There is a really good documentary on that fight on youtube, it follows roy jones through training camp, the weigh in, him relaxing in his hotel room after the weigh in and the fight etc. It's realy interesting. I hope you are able to find it and enjoy it.

Wasn't it Danny Adams, (one of the family) who pushed Naz to a split decision as an amateur?Eddy wrote:He'd soon find out though if he pipe'd up, trust me!Just ask UFC fighter "lighting" Lee Murray Who's currently in prison in Morocco for 25 years, for the 50 million £ raid in Kent in 2006.
