You cannot even begin to compare a 23 year old Bugner and present Fury .. Joe was leagues above and mixing it with all time greats

Agreed Fury would lose to the all-time greats as well. But what does that prove? Bugner wasn't leagues above anybody. He was just a hard working pro who made a name for himself. I'm not sure if Tyson Fury is gonna become a great but if Joe Bugner is the benchmark then I think he'll be alright. Just my opinion.yiddo14 wrote:coneye wrote:You cannot even begin to compare a 23 year old Bugner and present Fury .. Joe was leagues above and mixing it with all time greats

Style wise, Foreman was perfect for Joe. Bugner would have beaten Foreman if they'd met back in the 70's.yid14 wrote:Agreed Fury would lose to the all-time greats as well. But what does that prove? i can assure you Tyson Fury will not become a great.
he averages 2 -3 fights a year (when he should be averaging 6-8) and he almost certainly wont be boxing in 5 years time let alone 10, 15 or 20 years !
