Obviously this highlights again what a tough game our sport is, perhaps people should remember this when they sometimes knock fighters.
Also it shows the need for a strong board, and it has further proved what fantastic medical backups they put in place.
But most importantly get well soon Jonjo

Nice post :TU:

Horrible for Ryan Clark too, seems like a good kid from his posts on here (and BN interview etc). But most of all best of luck Jonjo Finnegan.

Jonjo is showing signs of improvement and has briefly responded by moving his hands in his hospital bed today. He is still in intensive care.

that is excellent news, its the start of a long road to recovery, but others have done it..rod douglas and spencer oliver are good examples of what fast surgery can do.

They haven't fully brought him round yet, but he has been responding well, and has actually been moving in his bed. Fingers crossed he will come through this. Prayers are with him and his young family x.

Poor Ryan Clark has been beating himself up over this all weekend. Tragedies like this often ruin both mens career.

I have to add though, the support that Jonjo has been getting from boxers, people involved within boxing and the fans has been tremendous. Nice to see that through all the bickering, moaning and everything else we can pull together for one of our own.

Get Well Jonjo x
