I'm sure Tony Mundine never fought Dick Blair, but he did fight on TV Ringside early in his career against Ricky Datsun, Sione Sani & of course, Kahu Mahanga. After that his fights were on Channel 9. In boxrec it says that the three fights were at Festival Hall, but only the Mahanga fight was there, both the Datsun & Sani fights were at Channel 7 Studio in South Melbourne.

Dick and Tony were never matched. Perhaps they were on the same program as both guys were pretty busy in the late 60s - early 70s.

They never fought.

I just remembered Fighter Magazine reporting on Blair's win over Etuate Rabuka late in Dick's career:

Something to the effect of "Did you see the Dick Blair /Etuate Rabuka fight? Dick's flesh was weak and Rabuka had no spirit." Patron may know better, but I think Dick was something of a mentor to Tony.
