What would have it been like had Holmes been K.Od
Would Snipes have a good run as champion?
also sure wish Snipes was in his Prime Today...we need someone like him

I think there would have been a rematch. Holmes-Cooney was already scheduled and this was the money fight for King.

You never know. Maybe Snipes would have fought Cooney. Or the Holmes rematch would have occurred. Sport is a strange thing. At that moment I'd have picked Cooney and Holmes to beat Snipes, but if Holmes had been stopped who knows... All sportsmen can change their whole outlook on the result of one performance (good or bad). Maybe Snipes would have then developed supreme confidence and worked at his game even harder.

Snipes was a good, honest fighter and would be a big hit today. I think he'd have lost to Holmes in a rematch or to Cooney. I have heard it said that Snipes was stopped prematurely and that Holmes was in a worse condition in the 7th than Snipes was in the 11th but not having seen the fight for over 15 years I couldn't say for sure with any conviction.

I've thought about this myself.If Snipes kayoed Holmes, chances are that he would've had to face Cooney or Dokes in a title defense.There is a good chance that he could beat Cooney, but Dokes, though he would give him a fight, could take Snipes by decision.If that Holmes rematch came up, Larry would probably take Renaldo by decision.

What if I were Snipes? Would I as Renaldo have beaten Holmes.? What if I woke up and I was in OZ, would I be the champ there?
