Anyone know if this guy is fighting still.
Since his "Draw" with Berridge, he seems to have gone off the scene.

Re: Kerry Foley
i know he had at least one MMA fight which he won in the first round since the berridge fight. not sure if that was the only one
Re: Kerry Foley
To be honest, I never worked out what all the excitement was about.

Re: Kerry Foley
I thought he was def a prospect. Bear in mind he took the Berridge fight on a few days notice
Re: Kerry Foley
Unfortunately for Kerry he has a lot of demons as do many fighters, and at the present moment is concentrating on mma, as far as your opinion brute I definitely respect it as Kerry never was able to produce his full talents on the big stage but if you definitely want to get an opinion call Mundine or even better Green to ask them of their opinion as I could rattle off multiple names who witnessed his hype first hand in sparring as these two have
As far as the berridge fight Kerry will never make an excuse but I know for a fact he dropped over 12 kg in 2 days to still only make 83kg and suffered a fractured skull from a head clash in the second round
I still do not understand someone with his punching technique and power giving that advantage away in an mma fight to someone who will eventually take you to the ground and expose you.
His potential out weighs his attitude and discipline in which we may sadly never witness
I wish him all the best and can only give you a small insight at this point in time

Thanks for the insight Kimf
I got the feeling from his weight issues that his attitude wasn't right and he didn't have the discipline needed to make it at the elite level. I think the Berridge fight made him realise he couldn't get away with cruising through....
Sad to see talent go to waste.
He should have an easier time in MMA where the competition is a lot weaker, in Aus anyway, so he wont need to train as hard.

Re: Kerry Foley
No one will ever know the obstacles Kerry has had to face in his time as a professional including two fractured cheek bones requiring surgery and a bulging disk in is neck in which he couldn't lift his arm over his head, all that aside it takes character and a strong minded individual to reach the top and every day I pray he matures and realises only he and he alone can make the right choices in his life to get there and not waste his talent
Re: Kerry Foley
Did hyping Foley up as the best Australian prospect since Les Darcy when he went to America really help him? Losing a four rounder to journeyman Terrance Smith after that build up must have really left him with a hollow feeling.

Ye I couldn't believe that I mean yes he has heavy hands but that's itsBrute wrote:Did hyping Foley up as the best Australian prospect since Les Darcy when he went to America really help him?
