Post by dan h »

I see this fight is one in september.

Any thoughts?

I think it will be a tough test and if he can pass it, some doors should open

Australia's best middleweight is IBF World Champion Daniel Geale. Do you really think Saunders is better than him?

If two guns had 1 or 2 more fights in Aus he would not have got the chance at this Title Saunders would have seen two gun in peak form and never would want to fight him and any how you dont EVER turn down a Title shot ( Commonwealth at that ) :yay:

Good on Flectcher for taking it but he'll start a massive underdog. I think it's just another building fight for Saunders and he'll soon be way above commonwealth level.

Even though he's had alot of tough fights and at 31 is getting towards the twilight of his career, Bradley Pryce is a real banger and head and shoulders above anything Fletcher has fought.

Well done to both camps making this happen, it will be an exciting match and neither boxer should be complacent or will be put to shame. There will be some fast paced rounds and I reckon some wrestling/strong arming involved by Saunders. You could flip a coin on this one and the crowd should give the biggest cheer to both boxers. I'm giving an edge to Fletcher with some smart boxing and using the angles and not being lured into a heavy exchange with Saunders.

Let the countdown begin! :)

Pryce was a real banger as a welter?

As I said, neither have fought a top level elite fighter so hard to match them up.

Yep fare point, it's good two unbeaten fighters are putting there '0' on the line, all too rare these days.

It's a very good commonwealth title fight. To often fighters can take on some unknown African who isn't the second coming of Azumah Nelson and bash him up in a round.

This is a solid match up, the best guy either has fought as yet. Unlike you guys i'm the other way around I haven't seen Fletcher but has seen plenty of Saunders. I'd be surprised if allegedly who promotes Saunders hasn't done his home work here, after all Frank's not known for throwing his guys in to deep.

Jarrod and Steve left at 5-30pm on Monday evening, they just arrived early last night, bloody long flight, via Dubai, but they're very keen and raring to go.

This is a damn good fight and a hard fight for both boys, I don't think for a minute that the fight could not go eitherway. However, I am concerned as are many others, If past performance of Aussies in the UK in any indication, the Judging of the fight will be critical, let's hope they do not rob our guy blind as happened in the past.

Fletcher has fought all over the world, so he won't be starry eyed and i doubt the occasion will beat him, I say If Fletcher fights to his ability and same for his opponent Saunders, then Jarrod wins a close decision, provided the Judges do their job correctly, which sadly, i have very little confidence, but let's wait and see.

I wish them every success, and what ever happens in this fight, will not dent the long term plans that have been laid out for Fletcher, they have already agreed and scheduled another fight to end 2012

All the best to your lad. Canada's Steve Molitor went over to Bligthy and beat the hometown boy, so it can be done. Let's hope this time it's not a case of having to knock the bloke out to get a draw! :DDD

Wonder who the judges are going to be?
