Someone earlier mentioned a gb fight being a clear robbery, this is what a robbery looks like

What robbery? It was a close fight. The Belarusian guy was piling forward, not hitting much. Joshua - Savon was a far clearer 'robbery'. As for fvcking Alan Green & Woodhall, what the fvck is are they on? Says fvck all when Joshua was getting his ass handed to him and he has the audacity to moan about this? This fight was closer than that one, as was the Ogogo fight. Funny how Ogogo gets 2 standings counts, loses on the countback score yet the judges favoured him. These are much more dubious than this fight ever was.

...Alan Green?

...is it not Jim Neilly?

And that was a clear robbery, for crying out loud Mammadov got deducted 4 points and still managed to have an even score for a start...

He was cautioned 3 times, bailed out for the last min 30 and was caught regularly for the last 2 rounds

Actually could be Jim. Well, personally I didn't view that as a clear robbery. Joshua - Savon was a clear robbery. Caught regularly? Dont think so, sure in the last round he was but that was about it. the 1st round was clear for the Azeri fighter, he shaded the 2nd and the 3rd was clearly the Belurusian's, though not because he landed a lot more. More so the penalties.

I've said in this thread that I had Joshua losing a very close one. This one was blatant

And thats why opinions make the sport what it is. I had Joshua losing, Ogogo losing fairly clearly and the Azeri winning very closing (including the deductions), though I would not have complained had it gone the other way, which it could have easily done.

What was wrong with the Stalker victory? He clearly won the first two rounds and got knackered in the third.

I can't see any way in which he won the second round personally.

I watched the Anthony Joshua fight, exited due to his hype, stories of beating up Tyson Fury in sparring etc. Was literally screaming at him to let his hands go against the Cuban. Shouting the typical 'fornicate sake you're shit' football hooligan reaction, as I saw him clearly losing by at least five points. The fact he won 17-16 was a joke... and Woodhall just said tough hard fight, wouldn't actually give his opinion on the verdict!

The big problem with the boxing commentary is that they are all too pally with each other. Never any disagreement, it's either reading off the same page or silence.

And Richie Woodhall is always completely pro-British anyway...read his answers in Boxing News whenever they ask him about a fight, hee always picks the Brit no matter what.

Manny Pacquiao v Johnny Greaves.

"Make no mistake it's a tough fight for Johnny but, with a little bit of luck, he could get a result here."

Its a very similar situation with the BBC commentary as a whole.
There was/is so much critism of the Olympics in regard to cost etc .. they are terrified of any potential critism of the actual games.
Hence why everybody is so 'inspired' by these Olympics according to the BBC ..

I wonder if these people are still so happy where the money was spent next time they visit a hospital.

The welfare state is probably this country's greatest social achievement. The abuse of it needs to stop but don't forget why we have it in the first place.

You can always tell a football supporter when they make comments like this.

I really don't understand the criteria for scoring points in these fights because Ogogo surely did not win that 3rd round unless you get points for hanging on for dear life :o

I swear he was getting points for landing slaps, that's the ONLY way he could have won round 3. I had him winning but 5 points was a bit of a joke.
