Nothing specacular but fighting on home terratory (South Africa). Hand-picked as a relatively routine points win so Hatton can pick up a paper belt (IBO) to give him a chance of another of a pay day against a fringe contender!

Never seen Van Heerden box but followed him through BN over the last few years. He's good but not great he'll be faster than Hatton and the officials in South Africa won't do Magic many favours.

I'd have thought that Van Heerden's team have hand-picked Hatton, rather than vice versa. I'm not even sure Hatton has a promoter at the moment, I think he left his brother's company.

I have an article due out on Van Heerden soon. I'll post it on here.

I think going to South Africa against an up and coming guy like Van Heerden is a big ask for Hatton at this stage of his career. I'm not saying Van Heerden is the second coming but he's to fresh for Hatton in my opinion.

They've announced it plenty early. Both guys will have an interim fight.
