I'd say he is and one of the best fighters all time period . I also have a friend from Ghana ,when they heard I was in to boxing all they talked about was Nelson .

Nelson had more strings to his bow than Tiger. That’s my opinion anyway. Both greats though…

Whilst not as great as Cerdan and, and possibly Nelson, Brian Mitchell was also very, very good.

Defended his title 11 times, and due to politics and boycotts, always had to do so in the other fellows backyard.

He never lost a title fight, and retired as champion.
