Sorry mate, but it was live on tv
Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Brilliant. I thought he got his tactics spot on, particularly in the first and last rounds.

It was a terrific composed and mature performance from Luke Campbell. He worked well off his jab and picked his shots very well and knew when to tie up and run the clock down effectively to reduce the scoring opportunites.

Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Great performance, roll on tomorrow.
Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Great performance, all of Hull is very proud of you.
Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Great fight, very tactical, in the end Campbell composure under pressure paid off, but a very close fight, he should think long and hard about turning pro, no money in the pros at the moment, he could earn more in the Ams after this.

Good post. This could apply to a number of our Olympians.safeerah wrote:Great fight, very tactical, in the end Campbell composure under pressure paid off, but a very close fight, he should think long and hard about turning pro, no money in the pros at the moment, he could earn more in the Ams after this.
Joshua is the only one guaranteed big money for turning and, as I've said elsewhere, his development as a boxer might be better served by prolonging his stay in the ams

Re: .
All these dicks who start screaming spoiler should maybe stop away from a mainstream boxing forum before watching the fight! Just a thought

I agree.Hagler2002 wrote:All these dicks who start screaming spoiler should maybe stop away from a mainstream boxing forum before watching the fight! Just a thought
Someone even called me a dickhead for posting a spoiler in a round by round thread for the card on which the bout occured.

Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Very tame effort from Fred Evans there, he seemed mesmerized.
Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Tough loss that. Evans couldn't do anything with that style.
Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Pish, he never tried to do anything with that style. He should have put that guy on the backfoot and tried letting his hands go. Piss poor effort from Evans, i really dont like to critisice, but for an olympic final performance, that was bordering on the pathetic. Where was the desire to win????????
Re: Luke Campbell - spoiler
Well dont Joshua, 3 points down going into the final round and comes out victorious. Thats how you do it, Evans should take note!
