Val Barker Trophy for 2012 Olympics

Who should take it? I say it stays with Lomachenko, although Ramirez is the runner-up.

Lomachenko has been class but Sapiyev looked pretty good handling Evans with ease.

I would have voted for Egor Mekhontsev of Russia. He is a very skilled boxer. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes and just has the fundamentals down.

It looks like Sapiyev took it for the men's division, Katie Taylor for the women's division. Good choices.

I would've chosen Ramirez, but Sapyiev isn't undeserving.

I don't think that Lomachenko did enough to win it this year.

You mean the Cuban flyweight Robeisy Ramirez I presume not Jose? Good choice.

I have no problem with Sapiyev, he finally in his third Olympics I think won the big one and looked very good doing so. Lomachenko was also very good. Usyk was very solid all the way through beating Beterbiev, Pulev & Russo all very good opponents.
