:o

Fighting Lynes seems abit of a step down from his last 2 fights, but i suppose he gotta keep himself busy.

I dont give Lynes any chance at all in this one, but what i would like to see is Witter go the full 12 rounds again just to see if the supposed stamina issue pops up again.

Surely Lynes wouldn't last 12 with Witter?

I dont think it will to be honest but surely its gotta be better for Witter to get an easy 12 round win under his belt than a 2 round KO.

Nothing really though on Lynes' record (although never seen his off tv fights) suggest he is particularly chinny. He took some bombs against that Yank in his last fight and stood up to them. His only defeat was against Malinga, who destroyed Bami, but if I remember wasn't it cuts and a sustained beating that stopped the fight.

I agree there is a huge gulf in class, but it looked that way in the early stages vs Ndou and Kotelink before. Of course I would tip both Ndou and Kotelink to beat Lynes, but who knows if Colin can last a few rounds.

I think Lynes fights with the intensity and pace that could test Witters stamina further, if (and its a big if) Witter cannot KO him. Although Lynes has a tendancy to fade in fights himself, but not as badly as Witter.

I was ringside for Lynes versus Malinga, Lynes was clearly the cleaner technician but he simplyhad no answer for Malinga's all action ,maruading, awkward style and couldn't keep the African at bay.

Though it was a stoppage on cuts/corner, Iforget, Malinga was breaking him up in the end.

Lynes was also fortunate to get the Sarmiento verdict.

Oh yes, don't get me wrong. I am generally dissapointed with this match up and I, of course, think Witter will win, just not sure why everyone is so confident that Witter will KO him early.

Yes, Lynes should have lost his last TWO fights, I thought the Yank won more clearly than Sarmiento. I wonder if this will be televised?

fortuinate it was a shocking robbery on a par with Vincent Barnes.

witter Lynes, that in itself says enough to me.

crap match, if witter doesnt spark Lynes before half way he should pack up and go home.

Witter should be going in with durable opponents in my view and getting as many rounds under his belt as possible before he fights a big name, blowing away people is what he has been doing for years now and i think he needs to get in longer fights while he is treading water waiting for his chance.

Yes, but what is there to suggest Lynes isn't durable? Perhaps there have been some of his earlier fights suggest otherwise but he's looked pretty durable, if limited and a little puncher, in the fights I have seen him.

Whatever you think of the quality of this match, I feel Lynnes should be given credit for taking a big step up in class.

its a disgrace witter still has british title ,at least lynes is confident enough to challenge, the belt needs to be won honestly not given away, everyone says witter should be challenging all the top guys at world level, then why not give up british belt and give others the chance to earn some money defending it.

Guy has a point, give Young Muttley a chance.

Anyone know if Lynes IBO title will be on the line for this fight? Or did he have to vacate it to make this fight?

Lynes, Bami, Wright and Mutley could fight in "semi final" fights the winners then could face each other for the vacant title.
