Alexander vs Harold Rice

Our database (as does the old RRB) indicates that Larry Alexander won by KO 7 over Harold Rice on Jan. 7, 1983. I believe that it was not Larry, but Lou Alexander (a Buffalo heavyweight) who fought in Hartford that day.

Can anyone that have an old Ring Magazine (or something like it) from this time check this out and confirm which Alexander fought on that day.

The Ring, April, 1983, reports; "Lou Alexander, 245, Buffalo, knocked out Harold Rice, 280, Hartford, in 0:51 of the seventh. Sam Maltempo, refree".
(Main event at the Civic Center Coliseum, Hartford; Marlon Starling-Manny Mandera).
Guess you're right then.

Make sure to put a comment with the bout, indicating the RRB is mistaken, and citing THE RING as our source. Otherwise, there will be questions once again raised sometime in the future. Merry Christmas.

U can also cite Flash Gordon's Tonight's Boxing Program #453, page 4, as a 2nd source.

He leave no doubt as he called Lou a touring KO victim in most of his matches the past few years.
