Ryan beats Sam by 2 years.
Ryan 17 years in the pro game, Sam 15.
Also Sam is older than Ryan. Sam is 39 later this year.
Sam based himself in the UK back from 2000 to 2002 and we got acquainted with him. There was a lot of talk of Sam and Ryan fighting back then, but both teams thought if it happened it ought to be for a title.
History shows it never happened.
Ryan still speaks to Sam now and then.
A really nice guy and great to see him doing so well in the twilight of his career.
Had decent scraps against Paul Wesley, Howard Eastman, Corneleus Carr and the legend that is Ojay Abrahams.

Brono McKart's another name I did a quick double take on when I saw he had a fight last month.

x2, I looked twice when I saw him in Boxing News - though Holyfield didn't ought to be boxing still it is incredible to think he turned pro in 1984 with Mark Breland et al.

Guillermo Jones is another with a long career still at a decent level as is Erik Morales who is a throwback legend.

I always think Chris John has been around ages. He won his WBA title 8 years ago now and is still undefeated, and was obviously mixing in fringe World class before he won his belt.

I think I read that Johnson had retired after his last bout.

Marquez has been around for a long time and Floyd Jnr has had a 16 year pro career and is at the very top.

Raul Marquez was one who popped up a while back, although he's not fought since losing to Abraham.

Jones is a great shout, although he fights so sparingly you'd have to wonder if he's rationing his appearances. I remember him having those two fights with Laurent Boudouani.

Ivan Calderon? Must have won his first title a near decade ago and was probably a pound for pound top ten for a while. I'm sure he's got another world title fight next month as well and turned pro late-ish after a stellar amature career. Stunning technician, if he'd have been a Welterweight he'd be a rolling in cash :(

Pongsaklek Wonjongkam! He'll have been top level for longer that Calderon probably, stunning and equally odd record of top level operators and novices! At his weight for durability at top level he's a freak

If you're talking 'high' level, then it's got to be none other that Floyd Mayweather Jr.

He's been a world champion, or operating at top level since 1998. :o

To operate at the highest level for so long is some feat.

Fighting up at Super-middle now. It was over 10 years ago he beat Moore which sounds mental. He wants a fight with Kenny Anderson.
