Don't contradict myself by using eff all twat. My post is entirely relevant to what I'm talking about. Try reading it as opposed to reading what you want to read, it's not hard. Didn't raise them knowing they were common opponents at all but thanks for telling me what I was doing.

Again, already said Katsidis was more faded by the time he faced Burns. He was prime against neither, as I have already posted, which you chose to ignore, but carry on.

Seriously, open your eyes, read what I have posted as opposed to what you want to read. I hope you and Jessi give each other a reach around when effing one another. You two belong on the current scene. Mitchell's nuts won't need a bath for a long time with your two tongues hanging of em. Embarrassing. Billy has done such a lot of posting about the bout (and some of it very dismissive of Mitchell); I'd imagine that Kevin hopes he's been written off by Ricky as well as Billy.
Thinking the same, really feel Billy Nelson is dismissing Mitchell which is a danger. A good coach should know not to do that at this level you'd have thought.
Under no circumstances have I or more importantly Ricky underestimated anyone in all the time we have been together,we know this will be a very hard fight that's why Ricky puts in shifts in a gym other fighters simply couldn't live with, that's partly why Ricky deserves all the success he's getting.
Boxing like many other sports are all about levels IMO Ricky is at the higher level.
Good job your not underestermating anyone, as you know this is a very tough fight. We know its 'in your opinion' that Burns is a higher level, thats know secret but remember, it is 'your opinion'. Your opinion doesn't make it right. Looking forward to the 22nd Sept. Close hard fought fight, just leaning towards Burns, if he's happy with his camp that is and not wanting to switch trainers. If the rumour is true there is a good chance he wont pull it off, you know- if he is having doubts in training.

Firstly, name calling shows frustration on your part and secondly it doesn't offend me. Thirdly it makes you look about 12 years old :DDD .

Oh, I read your post, all of it. You didn't know they was common opponents? Really? Yes glad you acknowledge that Katsidis was more faded v Burns than against Mitchell. You are contradicting yourself when you state Mitchell had it tough against a faded Johannson saying he's a little suspect around the whiskers yet Mitchell came through rough parts KO'd him and the same Johannson dropped Burns three times and clearly beat him on points, then go on about Mitchell being stopped v Katsidis (albet on his feet) but a very more faded Katsidis got beat by Burns on points. So really 'Yiddo' what your saying isn't relevent is it? Tell me, how is it relevent to Burns v Mitchell and the outcome?

Yiddo14 I don't know why your getting angry with me :shame: I've only stated that I want and think Mitchell will win, then I simply compared common opponents which surely makes sense on a boxing forum weeks before the fight  and yes dagenham is in Essex, and dagenham and barking council is also a London borough, so I'm proud to say I'm an east end Essex boy, where all the best footballers come from and a few pretty good boxers too !
And try reading properly yourself, boxrob has already stated on more than one occasion that his not bothered who wins, but he thinks burns will.
I'm the only true Mitchell believer, I actually predict a one sided beating !

Burns has been beat,he's still a top fighter. The bout will be very good for British boxing, both men are class and Burns, in particular has a very pleasant media personality. I think Mitchell will win, he is a good, clean hitter; I imagine Ricky will give him hell though.
theres an old school hardness about mitchell you gotta like. prescott just came off a close sd loss against vasquez and mitchell was excellent in that fight. the fact hes goin in wi burns proves the lads game. i reckon ricky will be too busy for him tho.

I think that it will be both mens hardest bout, Burns looked very strong on the inside v Katsidis and hurt him with hard body punches. Mitchell can be as slippy as an eel though and hits on the counter very hard indeed, he is also very precise. Mitchell doesn't get in a flap when someone's throwing punches at him, he (Katsidis apart) knows what he is doing. Burns has a more obvious/traditional style and has just about perfected it with his conditioning. I think Mitchell will catch him around the sides though, Kevin is a career lightweight, both have bags of courage and Iimagine a really good, hard bout. There were loads on this site that were convinced that Murray would wreck Mitchell after the Katsidis blowout.

I like how Mitchell and his camp have kept a low profile, if it were to come off that Kevin lost - there would be no egg on his or the Tibbs faces; if Ricky were to lose there's be a bit of egg on Billys face.

There won't be egg on my face,I would be the first to shake Kevin's hand because I know he'll need his best ever performance plus some to beat Ricky,so many have doubted Ricky before we will prove you all wrong again,we actually enjoy it now lol

Billy, why are you acting like a 12 year old? being a 'top' trainer like you are, why do you embarress yourself? Why even put 'lol' at the end of your comment? Of course you will enjoy winning. Any coach of a fighter would. I'm sorry, but your posts show me that your feeling uneasy about this fight. Can you imagine someone like Jimmy Tibbs coming on here making the remarks you have? I find it hard to imagine that he would do this. Your showing your difference in class here. To be honest, as I've said all along, I did favour Burns to win but seeing how unstable you are I actually have my doubts now, of course if your still are in charge of burns come the 22nd Sept (am hoping you are before you jump out your pram :DDD ). Maybe Burns has been exposed to your feeling of being unstable. Maybe thats why he's thinking of jumping ship...(if he is of course, might be just a 'rumour')

Billy; what I meant to put across was that regardless of the result of the bout, Ricky, Kevin and Jimmy and Mark Tibbs have shown a lot of restraint and respect toward Ricky, on the net and in the papers. I am sure that they all know what a hard bout it will be; I've not ever seen Ricky mention anything but praise an opponent. From some of the posts you've made on here over the last couple of months about this bout; someone who'd not seen Mitchell box would get the idea that this is a 'gimmee'; that the only outcome can be that Ricky makes a statement. This is not a bout between a strong prospect and a rank outsider/import; a show filler. This is a strong match up between 2 world class lightweights, both have credentials and both have shown frailties; both have ways to win this bout. If you really respected what Kevin brings to the table you wouldn't be so dismissive of his chances; this is around a 50/50 bout and should be very good, if it is both men will earn the money in a hard way. If Ricky gets bashed up, (it happens) then you'll have a bit of egg on your face.

I don't think Billy will ever change, thats the way he is and that's fine, maybe if Ricky does loose he might not post such bold statements in the future but until then his enjoying there success and in a confident mood, Im sure Billy understands this is going to be tough and respects Mitchell very much indeed, in the public and bookies eyes this is a 55/45 fight in favor of Ricky, it's probably 70/30 in the eyes of Billy and that's fine, I've actually grown to like Billy's confidence alot in the past few months and I'm sure he will take the win or defeat like a true Scott :TU:

Really annoys me that guys like Billy Nelson take the time to interact with fans on this forum and all they get is abuse. All that will happen is he'll stop posting like several other pros have done and the forum will be a poorer place.

This isn't 50/50 fight or anything like it. Mitchell is unprofessional, inconsistent and easy to hit. Burns will outclass him. I also noted with interest an early press shot for the fight in which Mitchell looked clearly out of shape and Burns looked great.

Also, just because according to you Mitchell may not have been in as good shape as Burns in an EARLY press conference doesn't mean a thing, if it went on body shape then Frank Bruno would have been one of the Greatest Heavyweight Champions ever. Prescott looked in better 'shape' than Mitchell on the night, didn't make any difference to the outcome though did it. Mitchell may not have looked in as good shape as Murray either. It's nott a body defining contest. How is Mitchell unprofessional? Do you know his life style in the build up to every fight? Do you know his training routine? He's been unprofessional for one fight, the one he has lost. Yes clearly it is me who is posting emotionally.

As far as I can see Billy Nelson has simply repeatedly said he thinks Burns will beat Mitchell. He's also repeatedly made clear that he respects Mitchell and Tibbs. Perhaps you should remember that Nelson is one of the few to have actually seen the pair of them in the ring.

I see nothing on Mitchell's record or in his performances to suggest this is 50/50. John Murray? Dont make me laugh. Burns would dish out a beating to Murray that would have us watching through our fingers. Murray caught Mitchell with relative ease and Burns will have way, way too much speed and variety for him.

I know Mitchell is unprofessional because its a documented fact he likes to drink, get in trouble with the law and engage in sraps outside the ring. Burns worked in a shop after becoming world champion because he didnt want to let his boss down. That demonstrates character and humility, one of the key reasons Burns is a 2 weight world champion and Mitchell is an underachiever who got KTFO on the biggest night of his life. A real athelete is an athelete all the time, not in the 8 weeks leading up to the fight. That's the difference.

I dont think there is anyone who is willing for Burns to win or thinks he will win that this is not a close fight, other than you ....and of course Billy Nelson. If there is, then like you they are talking through emotion. I think and am willing Mitchell to win but of course I know its a very close fight and Mitchell will have to be at the top of his game....Which from what I've seen in his training he will be. Mr Nelson hasn't repeatedly made clear his respect for Mitchell or Jimmy Tibbs. Click on his profile and review all his posts for ref. Yes, Billy Nelson is one of a few that has seen Burns and Mitchell in the ring and I'm also one of those few, and I also know that although Mitchell exploited Burns in sparring, sparring is also not the real thing. And You see nothing on Mitchell's record or his performances to suggest this is a 50/50 fight? Really? The Johannson fight who Burns lost too and Mitchell won against? The Katsides fight which Burns won but Mitchell lost? Mitchells win over Prescott? You really don't see this as a 50/50 fight? :o You sir are looking through rose tinted glasses. You really think that its a normal thing that Mitchell likes a drink and always gets in 'trouble' with the law because he had a blow out after one fight that he lost?Yes, letting your emotions speak. I agree he went off the rails a little but he is well on them now. Justy because it doesn't get in the press that Burns is falling about drunk at times when he is not boxing doesn't mean it doesn't happen. In actual fact I know it does happen. 22nd Sept getting nearer :TU:

Your first post was i observe this and mainly read etc, but it seems to me, (and i'm like you i mainly observe) that you purposely started this thread to sow the seeds of Burns being unhappy and wanting to move trainers as you heard a 'rumour' and now i read in your latest post that you have seen Mitchell training, which says to me you are in the camp or certainly VERY interested in Mitchell.

So summing up mate, you started a thread purely to try and stir up shite while being part of camp mitchell....shame really. maybe i'm wrong but thats how it seems to me

I personally think it will be a great fight, burns to win....just
