Anybody know if Jones-Tarver III is being shown live in UK?

Terribly disappointing if they don't show this one. Have BBC given up altogether or could they show this on delay on the Sunday night?

For me Sky have got it right skipping this fight along with the Morales/Pac fights last week.

We're not going to see Jones Jr make a thunderous return to peak form, if he wins this fight it'll be by picking away with darting jabs and not getting caught. If he loses it will be another miserable night for a once untouchable fighter and arguably the best of his generation.

Either way it won't be an exciting fight. I just hope to wake up on the Sunday morning and read that he won and plans to finally retire from the sport, on something of a high note. He deserves that after the years of graft he's put in.

The Morales & Pacman fights would have been better than the Barrera & Mosley fights. The Jones-Tarver fight may not turn out to be exciting but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what version of Roy turns up. I'm in Italy that weekend anyway so just hoping my hotel has decent Internet access so I can stream the fight live.

I'm not sure what the arguement really is about. I do agree with Kilburn, I think the Barrera bill was better on paper but Sky didn't show anything on the Saturday that Morales fought and look unlikely to screen something on October the 1st - where they have the Toney bill and/or the Jones bill.

Remember when they showed Holyfield vs Toney and Morales vs Espadas II.

I was shocked to see no Morales last week, first time in ages.

I'd watch Morales and Pacquiao in tune up fights over Barrera and Mosley in tune up fights any day.

its only us deluided fans that think that way.

example youd rather watch a barnstormer between Meager andh Hunt in full, than 4 5 mins freakin build up to an AMir Khan four round blow out.

or am i just waffling on and missing your point totally.

So would I John. As it was Barrera was clashing with another world champion, while Mosley was taking on a guy unbeaten in over 30 fights who looked certain to pressure him. So the fights didn't turn out to be that great, who was to know beforehand? Nobody for sure.

Morales and Pacquiao in a SHOWCASE against guys who'd both lost to Rocky Juarez hardly compares on paper.
