If Kevin can't get up for this one then there's no way for him to make it in boxing; Jimmy Tibbs has lots and lots of top level experience; he knows what he is doing. Kevin can fight and he can box - I'd say he's the hardest and cleanest hitter that Ricky will have faced. We'll all see soon enough; (I might put a cool million on Mitchell to win by KO )

Ricky reminds me of Steve Robinson with his work ethic and attitude and his ability to negate his seemingly more illustrious opponents and impose his own fight plan, a very strong and focused fighter who makes the absolute most of his talent. Mitchell for me is the puncher in this fight although if he's not 'on it' Burns will punch holes in him also. KM can employ great variety in his work and like RB, although he's been hurt badly before there's nothing wrong with his heart. Too many intangibles in this one to be confident, my heart says Burns but my head says Mitchell Good fight

DD Yeah i think the fwends part was overplayed by them both, you could see in their eyes that they just want to get the fight on. I know its just for TV , but i think Ricky came out on top in the head to head. Can't wait till they do it for real.

feel free to shoot me down if im wrong, but i think he meant by 3 or 4 rounds on the cards, not a stoppage in 3 or 4 like it seems that you took it. will be a good fight, think burns wins close but comfortably, beaten better fighters and is much more mature than in his losses! whereas mitchell had an 'off' night in the biggest night of his career, and this is the next biggest night of his career and he needs to be at his best for this one!

Would like Kev to win but I have a feeling Burns could nick the reult in a split decsion....local lad, crowd behind him.....rematch will definitely be on the cards at West Ham!

Because Billy, the fight will be close, may even be a bit controversial with the points outcome, Frank will want a rematch cause it makes commercial sense, West Ham will be at capacity, Ricky will get a nice little pay day for a rematch (and want to prove the points win was not a biased decsion), which means you too will get a nice litle bunsen burner out of it as well......

I have a few mutual contacts with Kevin so know of him reasonably well. I have nothing against Ricky at all. Like him as a boxer, don't know him as a person but he does come across well.

Really can't wait for this - Its a real 50/50 fight as they say and could go either way.

I've gone for Mitchell late stoppage as his power and accuracy at times is exceptional but the safe money is on Burns points. So it very difficult to choose a winner

As long as Kevin keeps his chin tucked and is in the right frame of mind I don't think Ricky has the power to discourage him(9ko's in 33 fights)
