Per next-day reports by Louis H. Gollop (Duluth News Tribune) and Sandy MacDonald (Duluth Herald), the fight was stopped in the 6th round due to both fighters stalling. The referee Harry McCollum declared it a No Contest. Both fighters were fined $500 each the following day by the Minnesota state boxing commission, the money going to St. James orphanage and the Duluth Children's home.

Venue - Shrine Auditorium (Duluth Athletic Club)

Preliminaries:

Howard (Young) Mayberry (of Morgan Park) W-KO4 (scheduled for 8 rounds) Young Lorenson (of Superior)

Jimmy Smith (of West Duluth) ND6 Frank Grimsrud (of Morgan Park)
Newspaper decision for Grimsrud from Louis H. Gollop (Duluth News Tribune), Sandy MacDonald (Duluth Herald).

Archie Mullen (of Proctor) ND6 Pug (Young) Oslonski (of Superior)
Newspaper decision for Mullen from Louis H. Gollop (Duluth News Tribune), Sandy MacDonald (Duluth Herald).

P.S. On a side note, Duluth News Tribune was printing interesting write-ups by Al Spink at the time. He was the sporting editor of several St. Louis (MO) newspapers - Sporting News, Globe-Democrat, Missouri Republican, Post-Dispatch, World.
