Bit of a leftfield one here but thought it would be a slightly different and hopefully less tribal way of assessing Bellew and Cleverly's next opponents at 175. Lets try and avoid all the usual arguments here (for the record I don't think there is much between Bellew and Cleverly, I'd nudge Cleverly ahead if pressed but thought their fight was a draw and don't view Cleverly as a legitimate world champion, though I only view the no1 maybe 2 guys in most divisions that way anyway).
Uzelkov is the natural 175 fighter and has fought decent quality guys like Campillo, Shumenov and Gutknecht. I've watched the last two fights, plus his recent turgid effort on the Magic Man undercard in the Ukraine while he looks strong and solidly schooled with a decent dig he is very one paced and that pace is slow! Good chin though a big old lump. Miranda is the faster fighter and is less wild than he used to be. His chin maybe isn't quite as solid but it's pretty steady and he's mixed with over all better quality in Taylor, Pavlik, Eastman, Abraham, Ward, etc - though almost always losing and always at his best weight of 160.
I'd find this a tricky fight to pick over ten rounds, think both are on the slide but if pressed I'd take Uzelkov to just be too big and solid and wear Miranda done over the last four in either a late stoppage or more likely 97/93 type points win.
What do you lot reckon?
