Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.
I thought this was a RBR? Just coming up to the fourth round, on the UK footage at least.
Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.
Tyson. No doubt. Among HARDCORE boxing fans, Ward-Dawson is cared about more. But there are all these casual fans who don't realize how bad the Klit fight is. They see "heavyweight championship of the world," a phrase that still has mystique for the general public. There will be tons of Russians, Germans, and Ukkrainians who care about the Klit fight. Few Americans will about Dawson-Ward.Bobbyptsd wrote:What would get more views, and media coverage in the U.S. right now: Mike Tyson coming back to fight Butterbean, or the Dawson-Ward fight?
And, there is your answer.
It's unfortunate, but that's the way it is IMHO.

And what is happening thus far? Or are you unable to get a decent stream also?HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:I thought this was a RBR? Just coming up to the fourth round, on the UK footage at least.

Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.
I couldn't see how large the cut was, but Charr's eye was gushing blood, which isn't typical for trivial cuts.dimalder3463 wrote:and its over in the 4th.....stopped on bullshit small cut....gay....charr got crazy cheated with that....even though he was losing still he wanted to lose on real terms

I guess I just don't see Vitali on that Tyson level despite holding the same title as Tyson. I also think boxing fans know a bs matchup when they see it thus the more important fight on their roster today would easily be Andre vs Chad across the glove.Bobbyptsd wrote:What would get more views, and media coverage in the U.S. right now: Mike Tyson coming back to fight Butterbean, or the Dawson-Ward fight?

that cut was nowhere near serious....charr is there standing at every post and in the closeups there is not one drop of blood trickling down.....it couldve been stopped by the cutman at the end of the round
he was gonna lose either way but they robbed him of an opportunity and robbed vitali of a highlight....just a bad way to end any fight
Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.
Well that was my point. Reggie seems to be overestimating the number of people who care about boxing, in the U.S. at all really, worldwide even.Rover wrote:Tyson. No doubt. There won't even be anything about this on sportscenter or any show like that. If someone doesn't have HBO and/or didn't access certain boxing sites, they wouldn't even know the fight happened.
Hell, when Pac-Bradley happened, all I saw in mainstream media was a few snippets, and some people who didn't know about boxing giving 20 second quips about how this is why boxing is dead(notice they don't say "dying")

This was a godawful rbr btw. I think the first guy who talked about the action said the fight was over in the 4th.

I agree with you about what boxing fans see. I'm saying you are overestimating the amount of, what we might call "true" boxing fans, vs. others, worldwide.ReggieDiggs wrote:I guess I just don't see Vitali on that Tyson level despite holding the same title as Tyson. Imagine if you'd bought a ticket for that sh*t. Imagine if you'd paid for ringside
Naturally they will ask Vitali about Haye in the post fight. Especially British coverage. Anybody watching, let me know what he says. Thanks!

Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.
I would have described the action (or what there was of it) but I didn't know if the americans on the board were waiting for delayed footage. Didn't want to spoil people's "fun".ReggieDiggs wrote:This was a godawful rbr btw. I think the first guy who talked about the action said the fight was over in the 4th.

This is a self titled RBR thread. What's a RBR without an actual RBR?HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:I would have described the action (or what there was of it) but I didn't know if the americans on the board were waiting for delayed footage. If people don't know better to stay away from rbr threads if they don't wanna know the result they deserve to have it ruined for them.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:I would have described the action (or what there was of it) but I didn't know if the americans on the board were waiting for delayed footage. Re: Klitschko/Charr RBR.
I once got called a dickhead for posting the result of a fight on the RBR thread for the card on which the bout occured.
