Carl Frampton vs Steve Molitor

Post by davie »

Another good step up for Carl IMO.

I remember molitor a couple years back against booth and he looked pretty good.

Will be a big test for frampton, a guy who's been at world level.

Frampton will take this! Molitor was taken all the way by Booth.... whats booth done in the last 2 years other than become a punching bag for up & coming fighters.

Yeah but you forget pre Molitor fight Booth was in some of the best form and performances of his career.

Yeah but you forget Molitor got smashed to pieces by Celestino Caballero in a unification fight, & has never been the same since. He would've dismantled Booth before Caballero, but after the Panamanian did him he's been far less effective. In fact, he's been in a complete nosedive ever since, & eventually got taken by one of the eleventy billion identikit South Africans the IBF mandate to fight for their lower weight titles whenever they can. I think Molitor'd even beaten the kiddie who dethroned him twice before, the lad was that shite (shite in the grand world-level scheme of things, natch. I mean not-nearly-elite really run-of-the-mill beltholder level).

Watch Molitor's fights before the Caballero fight. Dude's... I hesitate to say "shot", but he's definitely in the act of being discharged, if you see what I mean.

Molitor is just a half-decent name to get on Frampton's record now. I don't anticipate a young, hungry, half-decent fighter like Frampton having too many worries with this assignment.
