Why did you move back across the ring in the 7th round when Miranda was on the ropes and you had put together some decent shots ? The commentators of the fight thought it was a bit weird and i thought so too. It was as if you thought he was trying to drag you inside and unleash on you. I think at times you were too respectful of his punching power and i thought you could have stopped him a lot earlier. Good win for you Tony, but i think Miranda has seen better days and i'm not sure if the fight really benefited you very much. It was not the miranda of some years back that's for sure !!

Miranda was 2weight divisions up from where he made a reputation. And 4-5yrs from his best.

Twas not a good win for Mr Bellew ... Predictable win certainly though.
Match-ups like these are why boxing is moving further off our tv screens.

I thought Bellew was overly respectful of his power, but having said that I wasn't on the end of it! Maybe Bellew felt the heavines in hands at the start of the fight and was careful?

I wanted to press him after the 4th but the gaffer said he wasnt ready, he was very clever and was trying to lull me in for the big right hand there was no doubting that, the last thing a fighter loses is his punch.. It wasn't my best performance but at the end of the day do people want me to give up my height and reach and have a war with a noted puncher?

I've learnt from this to be honest and while I should of upped the pace from the 5th the result I felt was never in the balance, I felt in control and u hope you all enjoyed the night..

Found my opinion changing on your performance overnight Tony to be honest.

Last night watching it I thought you were a little too respectful and at times a little one paced.

Thinking about it and watching it again, I think I formed most of that opinion based on who you are and what you have normally tried to do in fights, you always struck me as someone who
was a kind of seek and destroy merchant with some skills but mainly power.

The Cleverly fight showed that not to be true when your skills were clearly highlighted and also the McKenzie fight showed you could box to a well set out plan and get the job done.

Now if I take away the fact of what I thought you would do and that was probably win in about 4 wild west type rounds, your performance last night was actually very very good.

Why on earth would you give Miranda his only real shot and that was having a war, you boxed well off the back foot, did not throw unnecessary punches and made Miranda basically walk to you at all times, even at that pace he was going to slow, you drew the sting out of him, his punches definately started to fade from about the 5th onwards, I thought he hurt you in (either the 2nd or 3rd) but you did not panic and tucked up well enough and carried on with what the team had decided.

Eventually he was ready to go and you got him out of there, could you have done it earlier, possibly, however, that would have brought Miranda into the fight, something you and your team decided, rightly against.

Don't get me wrong, Miranda is not upper world class now, but I agree he is still very dangerous for 4 rounds against most, if not the top world class, that is still something you are attempting to become and to be honest, I think you have a great chance of getting there, its a very decent division with Pascal,Cloud,Dawson and Hopkins, plus plenty of persons like Cleverly,Chilemba, and Shumenov,Gutknecht etc

Personally I think the Euro crown against Gutknecht would be a great move for you, however he looks likely to defend against Braehmer later this or early next year so that may be a no go.

I am assuming if Eddie wants you out on the Froch bill it would not be for a Euro crown so someone like Chilemba or Fonfara would be a decent test in that both are ranked reasonably highly, I think you beat both personally but after that it has to be an eliminator or Euro Crown around March or April next year hopefully.

congrats on your win tony, i thought miranda match was perfect at this stage of your career, i think the ovill mckenzie fights were great learning curves for you and you've learnt to use your height,reach,jab and most importantly to keep your concentration on the task in hand rushing in to finish people off is great but there is a calculated risk to it which miranda would of/could of taken advantage of earlier in the fight..as you said only a-list fighters beat miranda and not too many of those have stopped him e.g Andre Ward- so well done, enjoy a rest and i look forward to your next fight

It was a very good performance Bomber and you pretty fought Miranda the way I thoguht you would keep him at range work off the jab and use the ring effectively because everyone and his dog knows that Edison Miranda can crack if you go mano et manp with him and you wore him down well when you stepped the pace and got the stoppage win. You are a great fight and ambassador for the sport and we look forward to seeing you (hopefully) on the Froch-Mack bill. I thought it was the case that he was trying to pull you onto a big punch. I can see your tactics, that of wearing the guy down which is what you did and in the end he didn't want to know after the knockdown. I think as someone else said, we are used to seeing a Tony Bellew that goes flat out and it's nice that you used your ring intelligence and fought a fight that would keep you out of danger and get the job done. When you fought Cleverley, i want Nathan to win, but your performance that night was impressive and since then i have followed you and am firmly in your camp, wanting you to win. If you had a re-match with Cleverley, i would be rooting for you now lol.

Wel done Tony I was one of em sat there thinking fookin ell just go for it but if you would have thought the sane against Mckenzie and Miranda then it could well be you sat on the sofa with your career over it's so easy for us to sit and judge but you and your coach know what your doing and continue to get the wins. And when the time comes when you have no option but to put it all on the line i have no doubt you would rather go out all guns blazing then in a whimper like most would I've also changed my mind and think with your current trainer if you and Nathan ever go again you will beat him I love your openness and how game you are but most of all your attitude..
