Carbajal v. Yuh.

Post by Rover »

This unification was talked about but never happened. Yuh was nearing the end of his career, as he retired in 93 after having regained the title from Ioka. Predictions? Carbajal by decision for me.

And you responded to it because...?
Do you even know who Yuh is without looking him up?

I actually think Yuh has a nice style to outbox Carbajal, at the very least for prolonged periods of the fight.

Would have been an interesting match-up - Would have liked to see Yuh in there was a number of guys from just around his era (and after). If Yuh could handle Carbjal's power shots and if he didn't make the mistake of trying to hook with a hooker in exchanges....I could see Yuh's volume punching maybe taking a decision.

I'd be pulling for Yuh and could see an avenue for him to win....but if I had to bet the entire farm on this fight I'd likely go with Carbajal.

Do you even know who Yuh is without looking him up, Giancarlo? (And I even typed your name correctly!)
Simple question.
If you know about Yuh and think Carbajal-Yuh would be boring, fine. I disagree with that, but that's a point worth bringing up in the thread.
However, if you don't know about Yuh, you're just trolling.
Or would you rather continue to make a fool of yourself by calling me "Roger"?
I'll keep asking the question until I receive an answer.

It's confirmed: Trolling. I did try to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I see that my worst fears came true. Enjoy being reported.
I will not respond to any further trolling posts from you, though each will be reported.
If you desire to continue to troll my legitimate threads (and each one of them is a legitimate match-up), I will report each of your posts. You'll hopefully be banned in short order.
Preferably, however, you will either go away or commence a legitimate discussion in the threads.

One problem Yuh had was that he didn't face a lot of the top fighters of his time (Chang, Torres, Chiquita, Carbajal). Did he ever face any big punchers? I can't recall any off the top of my head, but your knowledge is superior to mine here.

Dejesus and Gamez could punch a little but certainly not in the Carbajal class.

what I like about Yuh here is the consistency of his output and his ability to put work in without taking risks, the kind of traits that would stand him in good stead against less active punchers. also he kept his left hand nice and high so he always guarded well against the overhand right.

Gamez...good mention. He sure punched Todaka hard.
Carbajal also had a great hook. Just ask poor Kim.

Gian......stop your harassing ways or pay the dire consequences.

You know that we are all expected to act with civility and courtesy here. This would include YOU in regards to Yuh.

Stop, reflect,... Do the right thing.

If he'd just thought it was a boring fight, fine, but the "Roger" crap made it clear he just wanted to troll the thread.
BTW, Buzz, as you're quite knowledgeable, what are your thoughts on this match-up?
