My thoughts is that it`s way to early to tell,for what it`s worth i thought last saturdays card was good 4 live fights at differant levals, Lee Purdy was trending at one point and eveyone in arena seemed to enjoy themselves.The Belfast card looks very good,quality fights is the main thing,i dont have a problem with imports if they are good fighters who give are lads a competatve fights,Belfast should be buzzing.

I thought Saturday was very much hit and miss.

Hit - Good crowd and atmosphere, Sky giving three and a half hours and showing four fights in full, marketed well and caught the more general sports fans attention, SKY SHOWED A CARD FROM OVERSEAS!!!!!!!!

Miss - The fights were no where near 50/50, Purdy's fight reminded me of the late 90's standard Sky dross of some padded record skipping in from overseas to fight a Brit who is only 5th or 6th ranked in his division in Britian for some trinket. The Argy was dreadful and as soon as he realised Purdy had even the most base level of defence his confidence dropped through the floor. Toms gave it a go but as soon as he got buzzed he folded (again Ochieng no better than 5th/6th ranked in Uk) and Bellew got an old, ex-middleweight who has not had a world class win in five years. The best fight was for a Southern Area strap -what's that tell you? Oh and the main miss? ADAM SMITH GETTING AIR TIME FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Eddie Hearn, he makes good matches for his fighters without sticking them in overly dangerous fights, is a slick Rick on twitter so appeals to the younger punter, could sell sand to the arabs so has Adam Smith eating out of his hand like a neutered puppy (actually.......) and creates 'events' of his shows. Does this lead to good fights for the more sceptical die hard boxing fan? I have some strong doubts - but he's doing his job, my concern is Sky aren't doing theirs. Matchroom seem to be setting Sky's boxing agenda, it should be the other way around......

Saying Brook is having a 13th final eliminator is a bit strong. His last fight was an eliminator and this one is a final eliminator, there's nothing long and drawn out about the process he has gone through. It's hardly the second coming of Howard Eastman or Junior Witter's situations where they were sat as the WBC mandatory seemingly for years.

Well he was number one in the WBO's rankings for quite a while.

I think we can tell by Cleverly's reign how much credence being WBO mandatory holds. He has been champ for ages now and hasn't had a single mandatory that I can think of.
