You can call it a "tradition" all you want, the Prizefighter tournament has and always will be a bunch of bollocks.

Why should anyone get a bunch of extra points and boost in the rankings for fighting a couple of 3 round fights?

What the fvck is the value in having professional fighters fight three-round fights? That's for young people and guys that haven't fought in 10 years.

Obviously you probably "don't get it" as the saying goes. But Prizefighter has been a big succes over in Britain. Dozens of fighters have used it as a platform to re-stimulate their careers. It serves a purpose in real-life, just as it does in The Sim.

In both realitys, it offers lower-ranked fighters a chance to get their careers back on track. And that is a noble cause. Elite fighters will NEVER take part in these tournaments, because they will probably never be low ranked enough to qualify for them.
